We’ve been using Fera for a while now across multiple stores, and unfortunately our overall experience has been disappointing. Positives: The long trial period is definitely a plus. Frontend layout, emails, and widgets are beautifully designed and look very professional at first glance. Negatives: Performance & usability The app feels slow and sluggish in daily use — pages take a long time to load, and there are constant annoying popups. While feedback is acknowledged by support, it rarely translates into actual improvements. Persistent overlay issue. Across all our stores, an overlay repeatedly pops up suggesting a language change. It appears on almost every page and must be closed manually each time. Support has been aware of this for a long time, but the only workaround offered is to use Fera outside Shopify via their own website — completely impractical when managing multiple stores. Translations are a nightmare Managing translations is extremely cumbersome: They’re spread across ~15 separate pages. Every save sends you back to page 1. You can’t jump directly to a specific page (e.g., page 8) — you must click through arrows, with only four pages visible at once. Keyword search only works in English. There is no CSV import/export option. Even worse: if you do request a CSV export, it’s done manually by a Fera employee. This takes hours, and you’re asked why you need the export. That’s none of anyone’s business and feels extremely old-school. Review management limitations Approving and especially deleting reviews is far too restrictive. You can’t simply remove a review without notifying the customer. While this may be related to Google guidelines, as a store owner you should always retain full control. Sometimes reviews are simply false or malicious, and there should be a fast, frictionless way to delete them. Major workflow issues New products created by duplicating an existing product automatically receive a 1-star rating. Removing this requires repeated support requests. Fera’s own workaround is essentially to write reviews yourself. Creating product groups is unnecessarily complicated and only possible via tags or titles — not via SKU. This might work for small shops, but it’s completely unsuitable for larger operations. Because of all this, we’re now actively in the process of replacing Fera with another solution. Conclusion Fera looks great at first and has real potential in terms of design. But in daily operations — especially for larger businesses or multiple stores — it becomes a frustrating time sink. Slow performance, poor usability, restrictive review controls, outdated CSV handling, and unresolved long-standing issues make it hard to justify continued use. Recommendation: I would not recommend this app. It may feel promising initially, but in real-world, day-to-day usage it quickly turns into a challenge rather than a help. (Most of these issues were already reported to Fera 6–12 months ago, yet nothing has been improved since then.)

O aplicativo já foi bom, ultimamente só está dando dor de cabeça. As avaliações parar de aparecer sem motivo algum. Do tempo que você percebe que está sem, pode ter se passado dias sem mostrar as avaliações para os clientes. Além disso, o suporte é sempre demorado nas respostas.

If you want a reliable and stable review platform, stay away from this app. Our reviews have been down for 3 days due to slowness issues on their server, which is likely causing the widgets not to display. We keep receiving the same response every time we contact them, and they still don’t know how to fix their own server in this AI era. What a shame. We are considering switching.

its a lie, you cant import reviews from amazon, annoying app, it forces you to pay even before starting to configure anything

The $9 USD basic plan never stated there was a cap on the number of reviews. I quickly hit the limit after importing my Google reviews (and it wouldn’t even let me import my Facebook reviews). Then I was told I’d need to upgrade to a $60 NZD (or 29usd) plan, and eventually to $200 NZD — which is more expensive than my website and email platform combined, both of which are far more important to my business. I also couldn’t download my new reviews because a pop-up kept appearing, saying I had to upgrade my plan. I ended up having to manually type out all my reviews before deleting the app. I’ve now moved back to Google Rocket, which is free or just $5 USD for the upgraded version with unlimited reviews — a far more reasonable price.

DO NOT RECOMMEND, use judge.me reviews instead. I’ve been using this app for 4 years, but I’ve now decided to switch to a more affordable alternative. After canceling my plan, I was immediately locked out of the app — even though I had already paid for the current billing cycle and should still have access until it ends. This feels unfair and unprofessional. If I paid for the service, I should be able to use it until the period I paid for expires. Very disappointing experience after years of loyalty. Edit after their reply: They are completely lying. It took days for them to reinstate even basic access, despite multiple complaints to their customer service and also to Shopify. However, the access they provided was useless—it wasn’t at the membership level I had paid for, which is necessary to operate the app normally. The app remained completely unusable, so they were acting in bad faith, and as you can see from this reply, they still are in bad faith. Stay away from these people. In the end, Shopify itself had to reimburse me for the app fee, admitting Fera acted very wrongly, refusing to provide the service I had already paid for, and also refusing to reimburse me.

The only review app that will not let you download the reviews from your own shop within minutes. You have to wait several hours (more than 12 in our case - and still waiting) because Fera wants to check and find out why you want to download your own reviews! Too much control and weirdness. We're going elsewhere.

I used Fera's free plan for a long time and was quite satisfied — until they suddenly canceled the free version. They removed access to the plan and deleted all my reviews and completely reset my account, as if I had never used the platform. This kind of treatment is extremely disappointing. I lost valuable customer feedback and trust in the service. I do not recommend relying on Fera if you value stability and transparency.

I had the free version since December and it worked great. About a month later they cap how many reviews I can have. Then about a month after that they suspended my account and tried to force me to pay for it. I had to reach out to support to export my reviews that I already had. What a pain in the butt. I do NOT recommend this software at all.

Après avoir utilisé FERA et reçu plus de 300 avis, FERA nous a obligé à prendre leur version payante alors que leur version gratuite n'était pas limitée dans le temps. Nous avons bien conscience que le système du gratuit a ses limites mais notre échelle de travail ne nous permettait pas de prendre leur version payante assez chère. FERA nous a alors obligé ce passage au payant, que nous n'avons pas pu prendre, en nous coupant tous simplement l'accès à l'appli. Nous avons alors demandé de récupérer nos avis mais FERA a refusé alors que cette option était bien proposée dans l'appli. Pas très classe de leur part. De plus, depuis un petit moment déjà, FERA avait utilisé un petit stratagème assez malin pour nous obliger au payant. Ils ont tout simplement ajouté sans notre accord un utilisateur supplémentaire à notre compte, ce qui en faisait donc deux au total avec l'administrateur, alors que la version gratuite ne le propose pas. Nous avions alors des messages permanents pour passer au payant. Il était alors impossible de modifier ce second profil abusif, ni même de le supprimer. Nous avions tenté une médiation avec leur service client afin de régler ce problème, mais comme de par hasard, celui-ci est devenu réservé aux versions payantes juste après... Petite cerise sur le gâteau, après la suppression de l'appli de FERA qu'ils ont eux-même exécutés sur notre site, leur CEO nous a envoyé un message nous indiquant qu'il était déçu de notre désinscription à FERA... Je n'ai pas répondu. Nous sommes très déçus.

As store owners, we all know how frustrating a bad review can be — but I felt I had to speak up for others who might find themselves in the same situation I did. It's disappointing that there's no longer a free plan available. Honestly, it feels like the company is just hoping users won’t look elsewhere. That said, there are great alternatives out there. I recommend checking out Air Product, TYDAL or Judge.me — all of them offer free plans and, in my experience, work much better.

I had a terrible experience with the app. I have been emailing the company for over a week. All of my customers reviews that I received with using their app are gone. No one has returned my emails other than saying they will look into it. However, I still haven't received an answer as to what happened nor a refund for paying for a service from 2022-2025 and all my reviews I paid for are gone. If I could give the company zero stars I would. I just want my reviews I paid for back or a refund simple. They refused to do either and told me to start over and work give me a free month of service. Update: 1/28/25 fera decactivited my account and removed my reviews again after I contacted their company about a issue. And they gave me a hard time about a refund. Free month never used. This company robs other companies. Find a better company to work with

I signed up in 2023, and had a great experience, until now. I was offered a free trial on Oct 29, 2023. I downgraded back to the free plan Oct 29, 2024, but was charged $99 for the premium version. I contacted chat support to have this fixed. They let me know that Shopify has to fix it. I contact Shopify, who lets me know that that is incorrect and that Fera needs to apply credits for the charge, and gives me all the documentation to give to Fear to correct the fee. I contact chat with this information, and all of a sudden, 40 mintues go by and no one responds to the chat. I ask what is the hold up? Usually, I can chat and have an issued solved in 5 minutes. But today, I am ignored for over an hour. Chat support comes and says they will review and get back to me. Another 30 minutes goes by. I ask when, he says he is swamped and can't get to me. I ask to be transfered, he says he is the only person online, and there is no phone number. Also, as I am on the free plan, when I went to Shopify's end in the billing settings, Fera is going to charge me $9.99 on Nov, 27, 2024 for a premium plan I DON'T HAVE. DO NOT USE THIS APP. Something is up, and there is no communication when they need to correct billing. I am so disappointed.

I contacted customer support and asked for a cancellation of my subscription as I migrated to Shopify from Wix and they never cancelled it! I realized I was being charged for months and they won't refund me. Even though I was using Fera on shopify too. I will definitely be finding another app. The good reviews are incentivized by Fera for free 1-year subscription! So take them with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure what happened because I had been using this app for a few years. It seems they had a rebranding of some sorts. Everything looks different plus all of the reviews I had have been deleted. I won't be using this app anymore and I cannot and will not recommend this app to anyone moving forward.
