In just one day, all clients are unable to download files as they are flagged as 'infected.' We're now receiving more and more emails every hour from clients concerned that we may be spreading viruses. This issue is a significant setback for our company. Currently, the app is unusable, as even we are unable to download our own files. UPDATE Thank you, Sandesh, for the thorough explanation and for addressing the issue with such detailed insight. We’re glad to see that significant changes have been implemented to improve the app’s security. For now, we’ll keep our rating at 3 stars, but if things run smoothly over time, we’ll consider updating our review. In the meantime, we’ll continue testing to ensure our clients don’t encounter any further upload issues. We appreciate your proactive steps and hope this leads to a more reliable experience for everyone." UPDATE 2 It's been a week and all the problems have disappeared, it seems that the newest updates were truly needed for it to happen. We're really happy from the results, so the review goes back up to 5/5.
Hey there! Thanks for writing a review, and I'm sincerely sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately, one of the stores using Filemonk sold malicious content; our domain was then flagged by Google and we had to work through a security review to get it resolved. Within 24 hours of being made aware of the problem, we got it fixed and now we're working on a few more changes to ensure that this never happens again. Filemonk operated on a trust-based system - we believed that most content sold is legitimate and there was no need to police it. But increasingly, I can see that we need to do better to protect our merchants and your customers. To that extent, we're introducing new moderation checks, introducing an acceptable content policy, changing how we handle downloads and email domains. It's the broadest set of changes on the security front in a long time. I've sent a more detailed reply to your email with specific details on what we're doing. Please do take a look and I'd love to hear from you on it. Once again, sincerely sorry that we didn't do all of this ahead of the issue. In any case, my only priority is ensuring that this cannot happen again and we'll work as hard as we have to to make this true. -- Sandesh / CEO
I have had this app for months now. If you sell digital products, this is the only app for you. (Trust me, I've been through them all.) When I first loaded the app, they were developing many new features. Yet, whenever I discovered something wonky, it was immediately fixed. The entire load and delivery funnel to clients is excellent. The number of options goes way beyond that because the team at FileMonk listens to their clients! The app deserves 10 stars, and the service deserves 10 stars. I sell tons of digital art, and this app opens up all the possibilities and ensures the client who paid receives a link to the products as soon as the payment is verified. In other words, the path from Payment to delivery for this product is usually no more than 90 seconds. There is nothing more one could ask for if you deliver any digital product, from art to books to any other digital type. It is one of the best apps on the entire Shopify app store.

Fantastic customer support, all requests are resolved quickly. The app fulfils our requirements 100%. Easy to use. We have tested a few apps of this type, but this one is definitely the best. We can highly recommend this app.

Filemonk is a great app and digital file delivery for Shopify. Sandesh tech support was kind, knowledgeable and efficient. He worked with me patiently and diligently to have my issue resolved in one session via chat. I absolutely love how the chat/help feature is embedded in all Filemonk pages so you do not have to dig deep and waste time trying to find how to begin asking for help. This app is super easy to use! Makes fulfilling my digital products simple. I was also able to double my upload limit with the help of the support team. Really enjoying using this app.
This is the best digital products app on Shopify. First of all, it's one of the only apps I could find that allows an external link to digital products rather than a downloadable file. My digital products are already hosted online, so there is nothing to download, but Filemonk lets me use the download button as a link. (Other apps always require you to upload a file). The button appears on thank you pages and in an email. And customers can always revisit the order page where their digital products are listed. Perfect. Also, they have excellent support. Sneha and Anaam dealt with all my questions within minutes. At one point I even asked to adjust a feature and it was implemented by the developers the next day. The pricing is affordable and they are generous with discounts. The feature ideas forum tab is a good sign that they listen to feature requests. I highly recommend Filemonk!
