Data synchronization delays and errors were so severe that proper and timely feedback could not be obtained, and the feedback was also vague, forcing us to abandon the project.

We’re using this plugin to track Google Ads conversions, but we’re experiencing an issue with incorrect conversion values. For example, the actual order value is $160, yet the conversion value shown in Google Ads is consistently recorded as $1. We’ve reached out to both the plugin’s support team and Google Ads support. However, both sides have responded that the issue falls outside their scope of support, meaning they’re unable to help us resolve it. So far, we haven’t been able to find anyone who can provide meaningful technical assistance. The responses we’ve received have been rather dismissive, simply stating that they cannot address the problem.

Saying we’re selling something on an app or channel we’ve never even used doesn’t make sense. We actively sell on other platforms, but Google Merchant and Google Ads haven’t been a good fit for a new business trying to scale. In our experience, Facebook is more user-friendly and offers better customer support, making it a stronger option for growing brands.

Bad experience. Our account has been stuck in misrepresentation for 3 months for no reason!!!. although we are expert with Google Merchant Center, but their support has been very unhelpful and they are wasting our time, money, and effort.

DO NOT USE THIS APP. This app is incomplete and has major uncorrected defects. The support team google has put on this app doesn't support it and creates additional issues. Further, with its limited functions, it will lead you into a dead-end. Based on our experience using Google Merchant for a decade, do not use this app.

WARNING: This app is a disaster for established business owners. After 13 years of building a global presence and selling to 48 countries, this app "force-created" a brand new account instead of connecting to my existing Merchant account. Years of history, reviews, and vital business data are just gone—"POFF." We have been trying to reach support for several days with zero response. If you value your legacy data and your global business operations, STAY AWAY until they fix this account migration bug. Extremely disappointed.

Hi! It only creates a new merchant center account if 1) You don't see your existing merchant center account in the dropdown and 2) You click "Create New Merchant Center Account" at this step The selection box with existing merchant center accounts populates when the Google Account you use during the Google & YouTube App is an admin of an existing merchant center account. We can help you link your existing merchant center account - it's not gone or deleted! Steps you can try: 1) Make sure the Google account you used on the app onboarding step 1 is an admin on your existing merchant center account. It must be a user on the account AND have the admin role assigned to it 2) It must be a user on the actual merchant center account, not a higher level MCA that inherits user roles. If this is the case, just send us a note here with the account you want to connect to and we can help https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app I did find your original ticket but the account you asked us to connect to is an MCA account, not an MCID, so it can't hold products directly, you'll need to ask us to connect an actual Merchant Center Account instead. I can reply to you on your ticket.

Stay far away from this app. It has made my life a nightmare. Yes, I understand there are dishonest people out there, but there are plenty of honest people too. I have spent a month fixing and patching and reading and running in circles. Now my merchant center is messed up and google ads stopped because my account is suspended. I, like many are thoroughly frustrated with Google and it lack of user-friendly features. This app is the icing on a really bad cake. I am surprised at Google. I hope thus review is published and I hope it saves others from the unnecessary pain cause by Google and this app.

Fix issues of misrepresentation is not any way of telling me what exactly I'm doing wrong. I'm a dropshipper and have no control over missing product information. Google was active for my shopify store but keeps my products unseen later for mystery policy violations. The fix issues buttons don't help fix issues.

an absolute nightmare, I spent over a week trying fixing issues for all the products and variations, while every thing looks up to date and detailed on Shopify like prices, age, gender, shipping details and colors yet you get all these errors on the Merchant page and that will result in getting your account suspended. the support is not that helpful either, they just gave links to visit and not clear what do i need to do to fix all the errors. i believe it is a problem of sync. am reaching the point of stop using it and stop trying to connect my store.

Hi! I don't see you having completed onboarding of the app yet, so the product sync isn't even running right now. When I look back in history when you first installed, I do see a TON of products loaded, pending review, then approved for display. There were a few that were limited due to price mismatches or shipping, but this was a tiny subset, and most were just awaiting a new recrawl and not disapproved. I also didn't see any support cases - we have specialized agents trained in the product sync that can help so you don't have to spend hours figuring it out yourself! The most recent support case was regarding the account suspension warning, not product sync, which is why they sent the links on that flow to request a re-review of your account. If you turn the product sync back on, let some products come through, (and make sure you set your markets to only ones you sell to to limit offer overload, currency mismatches, and shipping region errors, which is what I assume was the case the first time around), then you can contact us to help you through it pretty quickly.

Products are in Merchant Center but shows "0 products" in the Shopify app sales channel. Products then randomly drop out of Merchant Center into the void, not showing up in "Needs Attention" and with no history of what products are gone or what happened. The AI chatbot pretends to be helpful, knows nothing and displays over the buttons it tells you to push. I'll just count Merchant Center out of my business plan because this is literally the worst-engineered app I have ever had the displeasure of needing to use.

I was directed to this app from Google Analytics. just want to use GA4, but the app forces you to select a YouTube channel first (I don't have one). GA4 shows alternative instructions, but they're telling me to navigate to the "settings page." Unfortunately, there isn't one. They don't even know how their own app works!

Sorry this was confusing. You can just click past that "Connect your YouTube" step and complete onboarding. Then the Settings tab appears like normal. You aren't required to connect a non-existent YouTube Channel. You aren't required to connect anything really if all you want is GA4.

Advertising with you using google merchant center is sucks!. I am writing this message out of extreme frustration and exhaustion after years of trying to work with Google Merchant Center and Google Ads. After more than four years on your platform, and after managing many Merchant Center accounts, I have reached the point where I no longer trust the misrepresentation system. Accounts are approved and then suddenly disapproved. Misrepresentation issues are reported without clear reasons, and Google Ads accounts are suspended even when nothing meaningful has changed. I have spent hundreds of hours reviewing policies, fixing feeds, adjusting websites, submitting reviews, and waiting days or weeks for responses—only to receive the same vague misrepresentation notice again. There is never a clear explanation of what is actually wrong, which makes it impossible to resolve issues with confidence. What makes this situation even more stressful is seeing other websites (as amazon) with obvious issues continue advertising without interruption. Even large platforms with clear policy inconsistencies remain approved, while smaller advertisers are repeatedly flagged without clear justification. This creates a strong impression that the system is inconsistent and unreliable. At this stage, I am mentally and operationally exhausted. The repeated cycle of approval, disapproval, suspension, review, and waiting has caused significant time loss, financial impact, and wasted effort. Running a business under these conditions is not realistic. I am confident that the products added to this Merchant Center account are legitimate and accurately represented. However, I no longer want to continue fighting an unclear system that repeatedly suspends accounts without providing actionable feedback. I am not asking for another review of this account. This message reflects genuine frustration from long-term use of your system and the impact it has had on my work. Other businesses are generating millions through Facebook and TikTok ads, while others are stuck repeatedly fixing Merchant Center misrepresentation issues. My conclusion: advertising through Google Merchant Center is sucks, impractical and unreliable. I know this message will be reviewed by one of your junior team members who managing ours merchnat center accounts!, but it should be escalated to senior management. This feedback is from an experienced professional, not a young or inexperienced advertiser. I am a 40-year-old computer engineer with extensive professional experience and multiple certifications in digital marketing, business, cloud technologies, and project management.
