As long as there is chat, the program keeps sending emails, one for each line of conversation. Even if you cancel all notification options in the settings, it will still be the same. Frustrating, no technicians to fix or advise.

Boa tarde, preciso uma solucao para meu problema para que volte a funcionar como funcionava a quase 2 anos sem problemas. Nao quero uma solucao para aplicar em mais de 1200 paginas. Por favor, eu pago caro pela plataforma inclusive voces recebem uma comissao em cada venda, para ter meus problemas solucionados, problemas gerados pela propria plataforma. Estou realmente decepcionado com o meu ultimo atendimento que a resposta para meu problema era adicionar uma linha de codigo em todas minhas paginas que me custaria dias de trabalho por uma falha gerado pela propria SHOPIFY. Changed from Tawk.to as this is much better integrated with Shopify obviously. All seems great the biggest problem we have is the notifications. Tawk.to played a loud jingle when messages arrived and the browser icon on the PC would flash. Inbox seems to offer no notifications most of the time and then the odd time a single subtle bing. We have missed a few chats because of this and might be the reason we stop it and go back as it kind of messes us up and makes us look bad.

Removing Facebook messenger and Apple business chat takes all the appeal out of this app. Terrible move from Shopify.we will be looking for an alternative and will exploring the possibility of taking our business to another e-commerce platform.

Annoying. Every time there is a message it emails ALL admin personel. Sure you can turn it off for everyone but you can't pick who gets the messages. So all or nothing. Chat support has yet to get back to me. Frank

Easy app to install and navigate. 2 major issues: You get a copy of every chat message on mail - meaning, suddely you will have 20-30 mails which just is a notification mail. Impossible to turn off. I did try with the help from support. 2nd - the number of scammers has increased over the past 4-5 weeks. all from Nigeria.

Hi, I find the Inbox App generally pretty good. The main issue I get is that as I access the Inbox from various devices sometimes the sync between them all doesn't seem to be consistent. Also I find that messages remain unread and flagged as such on the App icon, even after they have been read. This seems to relate to the sync issue. Besides that it is a handy business tool and I would recommend people to try it.

It blocks the whole page and does not let the visitor exit. If they reload the page, it loads back up. This is a horrible experience. got told by support to change the colour and icon when this is not the issue, (tried anyway)

Update: This app has really increased our store's response times to customers as well as helped increase sales conversion. Just 1 simple quick response has led to some great sales. Thanks Shopify! Sorry that it took me so long to switch to Shopify Inbox from my old chat provider. The features are very valuable and the customer information really helps you tailor the customer's experience. One of the best apps that I've used on Shopify. Thanks for building this app.

I've seen a HUGE reduction in the number of customer chats since installing this app. It's because Shopify inbox FORCES the customer to enter their name and email address. This will turn off the majority of browsing customers who may just need a little advice to convert. VERY disappointing.

For context, the system prompts visitors to enter their email address to allow merchants to follow up and continue any further communications, even after the visitor leaves the store. I can completely understand how beneficial it would be to disable this feature however, as I'm aware that it'll allow merchants to quickly address their visitor's concerns. I recently tried using Shopify Inbox, but unfortunately, my experience with the app was terrible. The app has potential to be useful for managing customer messages, but the frequent spam messages from Nigeria made it nearly impossible to use effectively. I reached out to tech support multiple times for a resolution, but was disappointed to learn that there was no solution available. The only options I was given were to uninstall the app, block the spam messages, or go to another website that's not on Shopify. In addition to the spam messages, I also noticed that the app significantly slowed down my website, which further impacted my customer experience. Overall, I cannot recommend using Shopify Inbox due to these issues. Until these problems are addressed, I would advise anyone to steer clear of this app.

At this time, there is no way to block folk from sending you a message, but you can block a user once they've contacted you by clicking the ! in the top right corner. This will prevent this person from reaching out to you any further. While not a complete solution, we hope you take advantage of this feature. Very smooth and nice chat. It shows a lot of information about the message sender on the right hand side, which is amazing. This includes whether the customer has products in their cart. Awesome! I love it!

Good free chat. The only problem is that it doesn't support multilanguage translation. We have to choose a main language to display for all customers. Bad for international ecommerce.
