Great app that allows us to provide instant customer service to our clients. The integration with Shopify and the ability to see where the customers are coming from (web page) as well as whether or not they placed an order is great. One feature that we would love to see is the ability to see the customer's cart and potentially edit it before the customer placed an order.

GREAT APP, but could get 5-STARS if was possible to switch between different stores or have a sort of hub with all the stores enabled with Inbox! Look at the forum as there are MANY request for this feature!

It's a great point of contact BUT it would be AMAZINGLY HELPFUL if there was a SEARCH feature so we can easily search for chats via customer name and keywords.

[ Update: Rating this app from 3 to 4 stars. The Shopify Inbox team actually listened to my feedback, enabled customers to upload images, and fixed the integration page on their app. Thanks for that. However, I discovered a few more issues: 1. I integrated Shopify Inbox with Instagram, and when a customer chats from Instagram, it doesn’t show the customer’s name or username but instead shows, "Shop Visitor xxx." So we would need to go back to Instagram to check on the customer’s name or username, which is a hassle. It would be fantastic if you could display the customer's name or username, similar to how Facebook Messenger does. 2. I like the fact that this chat is visible on the checkout page as a button under the Total line, and when the chat button is clicked, the chat box is opened, but the color no longer corresponds to the theme’s chosen color. It appears to be black. It would also be great if this was fixed to correspond to the chosen color. ] __ [ Switched from tawkto for ease of sharing products directly from the chat itself and so that customers could track their orders directly from the chat. However, it would be better if customers are able to share images instead of having it sent through other means especially if they receive wrong or damaged goods or if they’re having issues on the website where they would need to share screenshots etc. Not having this feature would create additional hassle to the customer to email or WhatsApp us the issue. Also, there is a bug when the customer gets disconnected while chatting and when the customer resumes the chat, Shopify Inbox still marks them as ‘Customer is offline. Your reply will be emailed.’ Another bug is that the integrations are not working. The integrations page is just blank when clicked. Nothing happens. Will update this review if the customer upload image feature is introduced and if the bugs are fixed. ]

A quick way for customers to contact us and ask questions about the availability of products or about products we sell. Had some recent problems with Nigerian cons sending me multiple chat requests to my inbox. I blocked them on my end, but wonder if there is more that Shopify can do to stop these scam artists.

I used this app to provide real time customer care. I love when it shows the customer's email and order number that the request pertains to as well as the showing of the customer's current cart items. It will be even better if I can paste screenshots directly in the message box instead of needing to make it a file then attach. Also if I can 'like or love' the customer's message directly as if in the actual chat program, that would be great.

Works great to communicate with customers. Only downside is having to sign in all the time if you get notified and don't have the web page or app loaded already. It's not too much hassle but if a customer is waiting live then it will consider you "away" and might end up emailing them by the time you reply.

The app works well and does as it should for an easy online chat app. I wish that you could attach images in the chat to better assist customers, I have to ask them to email me for that. I would also like it if I could send more than one link at a time and have it popup as a preview window. Lastly, there are issues with the shopify inbox on my computer communicating to the shopify inbox app on the cell phone. I will read a message and mark it closed yet I still have the notification on my app and no unread messages in the "open" section. Just a small glitch. Notifications are persistent and not as customizable as they should be. Could be slightly improved and be really wonderful!

Cumple con su función, la conexion con los canales sociales es excelente y las herramientas para contestar son las esenciales. Echamos en falta que sea más como un CRM con un funnel, poder agregar las redes sociales dentro de un contacto, estadísticas de los agentes y conexión con las compras de los clientes desde redes sociales.
