Very basic free feature set. Something as simple as changing what product a review is associated with is not possible (requires reimporting reviews or contacting support ). A page show casing your reviews, not possible. Review import is basic and sometime delayed with when reviews actually post. As with most money hungry Shopify apps, the juice is not worth the squeeze.
Thanks for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that the free plan didn’t meet your expectations. We’ve reached out to you directly to address your concerns and share possible solutions to reassign reviews to the correct products. We've also noted your feedback about the import process improvements. Your input helps us refine both our free and paid features, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share it.

The app works well, and we’ve had helpful agents in the past. But after a recent support request to fix a display issue with review stars, the Judge.me team made theme changes that created duplicate elements on our product pages. When we reached out for help, support flat-out denied touching the theme: “We haven’t made any changes to your theme code.” “This falls outside of our scope of support.” “We recommend you contact Shopify support.” These statements were repeated over and over—even though the changes had been made by another Judge.me agent two weeks earlier, which we had to prove with a chat transcript. Only after escalation did their advanced team step in... and break our live product template entirely, removing titles, descriptions, and buy buttons. We run a high-AOV business and spend heavily on ads. Losing product functionality for seven hours during peak traffic is not something a $45 refund fixes. We also asked to speak with a supervisor multiple times and were refused. A senior agent eventually apologized and promised internal changes, but the damage was already done. If you're running a store where uptime and reliability matter, be careful: Judge.me support will edit your live theme code, and if things go wrong, you may be left without real help when you need it most.
We’re very sorry for the experience you described. We understand how disruptive this was, especially given the scale of your business and the trust you placed in our support. We’ve followed up in detail via email, and we want to reassure you that we’re taking your feedback seriously. We’re reviewing what went wrong, both technically and in how we communicated, to ensure this doesn’t happen again. This isn’t the standard we hold ourselves to, and we truly regret the impact it had on your store. We're committed to doing better!

While the app itself is reliable and well integrated, the customer-facing emails are not usable. The new “smart” template allows only minimal styling and offers no control over margins, padding, or spacing between blocks. As a result, a medium-sized logo and the first line of text take up nearly 50% of the screen, which is frustrating for recipients. Although the older custom template still exists, it’s only applied to review requests and reminders. All post-review notifications are forced to use the smart template. Additionally, there is still no support for separate logos in light and dark mode—something that should have been implemented years ago.

Amazing app. The support team are always so helpful. 1 Limitation you need to be aware of, is that joining reviews across Colour Variations is manual. eg: 1 Shirt in 10 Colours. There is no way to automate this by anything useful eg: Tags, Metafields etc. This makes managing linking reviews across Variations manual and a huge time sink if you have lots of products/variations. I would give this a 5 star rating if this function was built.
Thank you so much for your kind words about Judge.me and our support team, we truly appreciate it! You also raise a very fair point about linking reviews across color variations. At the moment, this does require some setup, but we do offer a few automation options to reduce the manual work: - Grouping by Tags: Reviews can be shared across products with specific tags. This requires providing us with the tag list, and any time new tags are added, you’d need to let us know. - Grouping by Vendor: We can set this up once, and afterwards any new products with the same vendor will automatically share reviews. - Grouping by Product Type: Similar to vendor, this can be run once, and any new products with the same type will automatically share reviews going forward. We understand how important it is to simplify this process, and your feedback helps us prioritize improvements. Hopefully these options help bridge the gap for now.

I want to love it but its glitchy and a number of things don't work well. Changing settings does not seem to have an effect, I had to get tech help to change code to get things to work and I will have to do so again with a new theme update likely.
Thank you for your honest feedback, and we're really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been experiencing. It sounds like there might be some conflicts causing the settings not to apply properly. Our team lead has reach out to you directly. We’d love to investigate and help resolve these issues as quickly as possible so you don’t have to rely on tech support each time a theme update occurs.

great and super fast support. Solved my issues immediately. Thanks guys :) edit: what seemed to be good changed into a nightmare. We have to check manually which vouchers have actually been created, since the app is buggy with that functionality according to support. Worst thing is, our customers come back to us saying they cannot use the vouchers

Integration to display reviews on Google doesn't work. Been going back and forth with judge.me and Google for a few months, judge.me says that everything is fine and Google says that's something is missing in the data.
Thank you for your feedback, we understand how frustrating it is having to go back and forth between us and Google. Reviews might not be shown in Google Shopping if there's a discrepancy between the product identifiers in the Reviews feed and the ones in the Products Feed. We've checked and can confirm that the data in your Reviews feed are good to go. We'd be happy to take a look at your Product feeds as well to see if we can suggest an improvement to resolve this issue.

I don't know why this crap has so many positive reviews. Some issues: 1. No straightforward way to copy/move reviews when I am merging listings 2. No import from Amazon 3. Does not integrate properly with any theme in terms of how it looks, it looks horrible and outdated

We faced significant challenges while integrating Judge.me widgets into our theme. The process was plagued by bugs, requiring us to repeatedly explain the same issue to different chat support agents, which was both time-consuming and frustrating. Unfortunately, after nearly a month of setup, we still didn’t receive a satisfactory solution. Some of the support advisors were rude and not very helpful. To make matters worse, on the day of our planned launch, we discovered that the 4,000+ reviews we had collected over 5 years couldn't be displayed on Google Shopping due to policy restrictions. This was a major dealbreaker, as Google Shopping visibility was essential for us. Ultimately, we decided not to move forward with Judge.me as our review app. Disappointed with the entire experience.

I hoped it will make it easy to import reviews from Etsy, Trustpilot and eBay (and maybe Google Shopping and Amazon too if we needed) but all I can see is some unknown integrations (for us in the UK at least) or the possibility of doing it manually via CSV. I suppose Judge.me is more like a Trustpilot competitor and not really focussed enough on bringing in reviews from other platforms and marketplaces as well, despite the customer support insisting that thats their best feature. There is a way to read Etsy reviews as long as we also install the paid Shuttle app which we don't need as we do already integrate with Etsy via Shopify Marketplace Connect. In comparison, the Fera Product Reviews App makes it fairly easy to import the JSON file with reviews we download from Etsy. Fera also imports easily our reviews from Trustpilot and Google Shopping which Judge.me claim are covered by copyright. While for eBay and Amazon, despite the same copyright excuse, the Opinew Product Reviews App UGC can also import easily our reviews from these marketplaces. It is a shame though that none of these apps can do the job fully and properly. :( The Judge.me chat support person told me that we can import the reviews manually via CSV and do it easily with their AliExpress integration. But we're not interested in AliExpress at all while apps like this are meant to help towards automating things not doing manually. I can get ChatGPT to write for me the code for my own app and do it manually... This app is not for us at all and I'm frankly disappointed given the many positive reviews but I'm taking it that most people use it the same way we use Trustpilot.
Thank you so much for your detailed review! We understand the importance of centralizing your reviews from different sources to your Shopify store. Unfortunately, as our agent mentioned, a lot of these marketplaces (Amazon, Trustpilot,...) claim copyright on their reviews, and while it's still possible to import them, it's always best to be cautious. Having said that, our team is in the process of making it easier to import from platforms without copyright concerns. We'll first start with accepting JSON file from Etsy and expand from there. We have reached out to you to discuss this further and we would love to hear more of your feedback on how we could improve this to benefit you and other merchants.

Complete lack of privacy for store owners and any customer that posts a review with this app! They publish your info on their website and shopping portals for the world to see. This is a clear violation of privacy especially if you run stores that sell products that are very discreet in nature. Do not use if you respect your customers privacy.
We're sorry to hear of your frustrating experience. The ways in which we use and process personal data are GDPR compliant, we only collect the personal data required to operate our services. We are also processing your data erasure request and will update you shortly once this is done. The reviewer however, has full control over what is public or not, including the reviews. They can at any time unpublish their reviews or even completely delete them. In addition, the reviewer can choose how their name is displayed, including making it anonymous. They are free to change this whenever they want by logging in to their profile. This is to give reviewers more control over their reviews and their data. We understand that the reviewer name logic could be improved and this is something that the team is working on. Our team lead has been trying to get in touch to explain and we look forward to be able to connect with you.

I can only change 30 charakters so i cant translate reviews by myself and the aliexpress translator is trash
We're sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. The reason for the 30 character limit for edits is to ensure that reviews can't be modified to maintain the authenticity of the reviews. This is in accordance with Shopify's guidelines as well. Unfortunately, for reviews imported from AliExpress, they are automatically translated by AliExpress. That said, our team has reached out to you for a solution to ensure that the accuracy of the reviews are maintained. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you're encountering further issues and we will be ready to help!

I don't understand all the 5-star reviews. It's an extremely limited app and the support is not overly helpful. Plenty of more options out there, especially for the price tag.

It's not good. I had to uninstall this app, and the reason for this review is they are still charging me. So I'm not happy and I want my money back.
