Horrible Experience in transitioning from Codisto to Marketplace Connect. Without ANY warning, the app stops working. Just found out through a random routine check. Support agent only half-reads my messages, gives out wrong information with high confidence which does not fix the issue at all, and promptly goes offline to not be reached again. Overall, not trustworthy.

I had a really bad experience with the customer service of this marketplace connector. If you encounter an issue that's not easy to fix, you'll end up exchanging emails which is a very slow way of troubleshooting. The customer service team should call you and help you solve the problem over the phone. I've been waiting for over a week just to get a basic issue resolved because I have to wait for a response, then perform the task and send an email back to see if it worked. What should have been a 10-minute task is now taking me at least a full day. I was trying to list items on Amazon using this connector but still can't. So, I'm considering scrapping the idea of using this marketplace connector for Amazon listings altogether.

Okay this app literally does not do the single thing it is supposed to do, which is syncing your pricing and inventory counts to 3rd party marketplaces. I have spent hours on chats and videocalls with support and they have absolutely nothing for me. It's with the developer team which is laughable because I am asking for the most basic functionality of the app to work the way that all of their reps expect it to work. Just an utterly unusable product.

UPDATE: 12/11/2023 - This app continues to get worse. At any given point, items will just stop syncing to ebay completely. Tile, pricing and inventory updates sometimes do not sync at all. As of now, we have had to reach out to customer support 6 or 7 days in a row for almost the same issues every time. Every time we reach out they say the same thing "we see the issue and it is fixed now". Then it works for a few hours, then stops working correctly again. I apparently have an open case that was escalated but there have been no updates. Yes, customer support chat is fast to reply, but when it doesn't result in the app being fixed, it hardly matters. We plant to compile our conversations and experience and submit a case to Shopify soon. We have lost money and a ton of time by using this app and we just want it to work. Again, I'll update this review if they ever get the app working correctly. For future users, note that this app is not ready for production if you have a large store with a lot of products. If you are seling a small amount, it should work for you but plan on doing a LOT of manual updates on your products and working with customer service nearly every day when syncing stops working. ORIGINAL REVIEW - I want to love this app, but it's painfully slow when using with ebay. I'll sometimes receive an order on ebay and it takes 40 minutes to an hour (or even more) before it syncs back to my Shopify store. If it's an item that is nearly sold out when this happens, the item sometimes sells out before the sync, causing it to be oversold. I've already had to cancel multiple ebay orders and refund customers due to this delay. Customer support blames ebay, ebay blames the Connect app. All I know is that if you chat with Connect support, they can manually force the sync and the orders magically show up. So if they can do that, then it's clearly something on this end, not on ebay's. There are also many listing fields that cannot be edited in mapping, such as Volume Pricing. Descriptions also do not float over on products, so I had to set a default one to post for all ebay listings. Long story short, this app COULD be great, but the slowness in syncing is causing me to look for alternatives. Or add a "manual sync" on the Orders page so we can force them to sync. Even as we speak, I have two orders on ebay that were pad for over an hour ago that still have not synced to shopify, one is now sold out, so I'll have to cancel and refund. So annoying! I'll update my review if they ever fix this.

I have so many problems with this app I wouldn't know where to begin. If you are looking to link any amount of high volume to eBay I would not recommend this app. Put simply, it doesn't work. Constant upload issues, and recently products not being able to be uploaded to eBay at all are what made me decide to delete this app and try something new. I tried contacting support multiple times and I was essentially told that no one knew what the issue was and there's no way to fix it. Not a good solution for any business with more than 100 SKUs

Codisto used to be great. Since the upgrade to Shopify Marketplace we got several issues. One ticket/problem has not been solved for over 2 months right now although it is quite simple. The app ignores capital letters and word separation for custom entries. Unfortunately the support team does not have a solution for this. We really lost patience and trust.

Sadly it just didnt work. After connecting my etsy listings to my shopify listings I found all the connected etsy listings deactivated on etsy. I tried several times but each time the listings were deactivated on etsy. And not just once either. Once I'd given up on the app, uninstalled it and relisted my items, 10 minutes later they'd be deactivated again and I'd have to relist again! It took a while and 3 or 4 goes over half an hour before my etsy listings were finally back up again.

The app is very clunky. The sync with eBay is on-and-off. When it doesn't work, the app developer / support team has no way of figuring out why it's not working. Sync problems in turn cause other issues on eBay, including bad seller ratings due to inability to fulfil orders as a result of inaccurate listings, and shipping details not updating, leading to negative customer experience.

Do not install this app if syncing with Etsy. It will deactivate all your synced products and, in the unfortunate case of some poor souls I've found on Reddit, completely delete your products. Additionally, the inventory that is synced with Etsy is the total inventory across all markets, not just the online market, or a market you separate out for Etsy. This app should have been tested thoroughly before sending that email out to customers.

It is in the process of deleting all my Etsy listing for the second time, and I'm not sure why. Bulk edit is just constantly loading. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but it isn't working for my store. Have to pay to reactivate my listings for the second time now.

Does not import gift messages from other sales channels. This is a huge oversight in the function of this app. Otherwise, it works well and the customer service is responsive. I'd like to continue using it but the gift messages are important.

I have been attempting to use this app for a couple of months now. Everything about it has been great unless you use Etsy. I have emailed the support team dozens of times, just to be told they are aware of the bug and are trying to fix it, or they are passing it on to their support team. The connection to Etsy doesn't import any shipping information. I have no idea what speed a customer chose for shipping or how much they paid until I log into Etsy, and copy/paste that info into Marketplace Connect for our shipping folks. The app randomly resets all of my weights and dims to zero, which means the shipping amount shown to customers on Etsy is often $20-30 more than it should be because Etsy can't calculate it properly. Over 2 months we've lost thousands of dollars in sales because of this glitch. Only our repeat customers will bother to reach out and ask why so that we can explain and refund the shipping overcharge. The rest move on because who in their right mind would pay $30 to ship a $10 skein of yarn? So if you don't use Etsy, you'll love the app. If you rely on Etsy for sales, find another app. This one is a nightmare.

this app doesnt work properly ...3 weeks of hours a day trying and speaking to 'support agents' and still had NO active listings, nothing linked properly and ZERO result.

I wouldn't say that Codisto was perfect or a 5-star app, but Marketplace Connect should have never been released in the stage that it is currently in. I have attempted to submit ~5 new products with multiple variants to Amazon through Marketplace and haven't been successful once. There is always an issue and customer support just provides me with the error codes and no real solutions. The app can't find matching SKUs, variants aren't paired together on Amazon, and missing mapping fields cause errors but aren't updatable to name a few.

Was always buggy and slow (as Codisto) but now its moved to Marketplace Connect the App is just awful and we have uninstalled as its just unusable.

Three edits to list a product is too long. It took me all day just to list two products, which did not list correctly after all. After building the listing in Shopify, you are forced to build the listing for Etsy in Marketplace, then when you get to Etsy, you have to rebuild the listing. The variations did not carry over. The app forces you to select the deepest subcategory, rather than the correct one, and there is no changing it in Etsy, as there is no drop-down from which to choose a new category. When you have an error, having to go back and forth between the different windows, i.e. leaving the page, makes it difficult to reconcile errors, i.e. if you do not fill out the form out according to the apps requirements, you cannot pass go. There is no bulk listing that I know of; at least Help had no idea whether there was or not. Out of three Help chats, only one person knew what they were doing.

Terrible app Used this app to integrate items into walmart. It's just horrible. Constantly have to communicate with support, which does not help at all. For a month of communication nothing normal they could not advise. The only thing that worked well was changing product names and tracking purchases, everything else is just a sham. Product descriptions - does not work. Changed them 1000. They are simply not loaded into walmart, this field just exists for beauty. Contacted support with this issue, about 100 emails. In 3 weeks - nothing has happened. Trying to deceive in correspondence and stall time, it is not clear why. Inventory - is not exposed, this field is also created for beauty. Disabling/enabling products - works once in a while. I disconnected all my products - it doesn't work. When you communicate with support, they have to prove that the problem is on their side, they just ignore questions and proof that their application is to blame for errors and problems. Half of the questions are unreadable and support just answers with scripted phrases. They don't help, they just "open cases", feed promises, and at times try to make customers look like fools by attaching absolutely absurd proof that they have nothing to do with it. And finally, for dessert, they recently had a price crash and all my goods became 2-3 times cheaper. Accordingly, anyone could buy my goods 2-3 times cheaper. The whole day I was in touch with support and they could not help me with anything. I heard only phrases, "yes, the problem is on our side, but we are doing our best to solve it". As far as I realized these problems were not only for me. Because of them I had to delete all the products, just not to lose money. And if I was not near a computer at that moment, it is not clear how much money I would have lost. I do not advise anyone to use this as an integration with walmart.
