As a Small Business Owner, I was thrilled to find Privy in 2021 to help take my business to the next level. Before I found Privy, I was relying heavily on social media posts, Ads, and word of mouth to drive site traffic and purchases. While that worked for a bit, it only worked as long as the social media algorithms didn't change because every time it changed, I was spending all of my time and energy trying to figure out how to adapt my social media strategy which kept me away from focusing on growing my business. Privy's platform helped me convert site visitors and social media followers into mailable and textable contacts, allowing me to get my content and products out to as many customers and potential customers as possible via email and SMS. This is where my business started to take off - I increased my sales attributed to email and SMS marketing by 300% since I implemented Privy! Give Privy a try - they have competitive pricing, a great support team, it's easy to set up and use and they are adding new features to their platform regularly!

APP is NOT WORKING!! It won't even let me install it! I get an error that says that page has been ghosted!!! I'm considering changing. I thought the charge was 15.00 a month, they've been charging me $30.00 a month for a year! Plus, I just tried to open the app from my shopify store and it's not working. I'm going to use a different email platform. This is no longer working for me.

Started with $15 monthly cost and ended in over $30 with no notification of changes. I figure it out when reviewing the bank statements. This is NOT OKAY!!! It is a pity, since the concept is nice. But the costs are far too high in comparison with the yield. ADVISE: DO NOT USE PRIVY!!

DON'T USE PRIVY! They are very expensive. The price start from $15, once you have more subscriber, they will charge you more. I paid $90 per month for being forced to choose a better plan plus paying for sending email to more subscriber. I was asking partial refund since I couldn't used the service during their website maintenance, the customer service was denying all these service was working while I had a copy of screenshot that it wasn't working. Then they just blamed my computer had issue, no matter what, they just refused to give a partial refund. Save your money, shopify email is enough for your need.

I FRIGGIN LOVE Privy! i would shout it from the ROOFTOPS. We were using Hubspot before, and st $1300 a MONTH it was a NO for our small business. I found Privy on Tiktok, and havent looked back since. Its easy, affordable, SCALABLE, and I love that you get ongoing customer support meetings as often as you need with your account manager. That just doesnt happen very often nowadays. It makes me feel valued as a customer and not a number on a spreadsheet. Anytime ive been in a pinch, i hear back from my account manager pretty quickly. Never had any huge bugs, the updates are almost always features i need/use, and recently they promoted our brand on THEIR blog. Hubspot could never. You wont look back. XOXOX- The Bryght Team

It started good but prices kept increasing. Like many other negative reviews have said - its mainly a pricing issue here. I have about 20 apps in my Shopify store and this is the only one I have something negative to say about. The communication from privy is very poor about their price changes, limitations and caps etc. They talk ALOT about what they can do for your business and how proud they are to be one of the top marketing apps and bla bla but they dont actually specify information or give details on when things change. You just receive generic emails that dont include any straight forward information. As my email subscribers grew my price increased from $30 to $90 in a short amount of time, which is way too much of a jump, so they stopped sending customers discount codes when they signed up, yet they still collected that $30 each month. They never even told me that my coupon codes would stop sending either, I had to find out from a customer who had signed up and she received an email with a blank discount code?? They are so sneaky its insane!! If you dont agree to the new pricing they also put limitation on your account and what you can do in the app, you cant even access anything unless you press agree basically. I ever only used privy to collect emails and send out coupon codes + abandoned cart emails. Just those 2 simple emails, not everyone wants or need to use privy to set up 10 different kinds of email annotations, they should not charge you depending on how many subscribes you have alone, they should offer more price plans/tiers depending on your business needs instead. But they seem to care more about money than customers needs. A very miss-leading way of doing business. Maybe this works for lager companies that doesn't care about a $60 increase but for a small business like me in a time like this, its truly not a fair or reasonable increase. There are many other apps out there that can do exactly what privy offers but for less or even some free. I would highly suggest trying other apps or else you will be paying minimum $90 before you know it.

Privy wasted a month of our time! We initially used Privy because their sister company, Attentive, told us we were too small to use their platform. They recommended we use Privy instead. We signed up with Privy but after a month of using their platform they informed us we couldn't use their SMS feature because of the industry we're in. SMS newsletters was the reason we even switched to Privy. You would think they would screen new clients and let them know if there were any issues, but no we wasted a month of getting all of our contacts migrated over, setting up automations, etc. A month of work down the drain, but Privy got their fee. Thanks A LOT Privy (and Attentive). Now we're back to square one. Avoid this company

I will be cancelling my account due to doubling the price. There are other apps that provide the same type of product which are more reasonable. The app works reasonably well, but giving it a one star for the insane price increase and the inconvenience of needing to find a new app and install.

I've been using Privy for almost a year and I am so frustrated by the app and their customer service. When I went to cancel I lost access to my account immediately even though I paid for the month. They said this information is clearly stated in their help articles when really it should be stated when you go to cancel your account And the right thing to do would be to prorate a refund depending on when the customer cancels... In terms of the capability of the app its 100% not worth the price. There are so many bugs and the capabilities are lacking. For $200/month I'd rather pay for Klaviyo to have access to better features and better customer service. Honestly, I would never use Privy again nor would I recommend other businesses use it.

They sent an email out saying there would be a SMALL price increase, but did not state the amount. They said you would see the increase on your next bill, of which it was doubled.

terrible, opt out and they still sending me emails without the options for unsubscribe. Not recommended use Klaviyo (I tried this hoping to have something special, just worst, designed to attract beginners who don't know other apps)

I have been a customer for almost a year. Today we got word that the basic plan is doubling from $15 a month to $30. Like many small businesses this is not an easy time. I am basically being asked to pay double for no extra features. So much for any customer loyalty.

Terrible! Spent 2 hrs building a pop up only to have to start all over because of bugs in their system. Images can't be removed or changed because the corner radius slider overlaps the buttons. Not mobile friendly so don't expect to work on the go unless you carry a computer everywhere you go. How they got so many 5 star reviews blows my mind! Worst app ever. Stay far away from them.

Today I spent 4 1/2 hours with Joe figuring out a way to address our unique needs in a way that also created a great experience for our customers. Joe was nothing short of outstanding in his efforts to find solutions and implement those solutions. Rather than telling me what we needed and then sending me a link to a help page to figure it out myself, Joe rolled up his sleeves and we created it together, and then tested it together. He was patient with me as I navigated thru the set up and testing stage before going live. I've worked with other Privy support people, who are all very pleasant, but none of them stuck with me the way Joe did to see everything through. Top drawer!

The process to add legitimate emails to your email list is too time consuming and unnecessarily complicated. Once they have signed you on, support disappears. They also...send emails offering to help your business, but when you reach out, these emails has always ended up a waste of time for me.
