Selfnamed: Cosmetics on demand

Selfnamed has been a game-changer for us! The platform is easy to use, the product quality is top-notch, and the branding options are beautifully executed. Their customer support is also really responsive. We’ve been able to create a seamless private label experience, and our customers love the final result.

I started listing products from Selfnamed, and I also ordered a few to test the quality. I’m very satisfied with the quality, and as for the app itself, I’m also very pleased — it’s easy to use, offers high-quality mock-ups, and the print quality is excellent. I appreciate that all the ingredients are listed, and the delivery was quite fast: it says 9 days, but I received it in 7. I would love to see an option to customize the box in which the products are delivered — that would be really nice. For example, for the serum, I’m referring to the Rosemary box, it would be great if it were made of sturdier cardboard. I would also like to do dropshipping with cosmetics, and it would be amazing if perfumes could be listed as well, and maybe even a category for children’s products.

I have been using this app for about 4 months now, the products are of good quality there are many glitches in the tool and things to be improved to make it more efficient. On the plus side are the products, they keep including new ones and they are of high quality and You can start a business quickly with them. You can preview your products and they provide automated mockups directly to your shopify. The ordering process is quite seemless once you know what settings to apply which are not explained anywhere. On the need to improve section i would mention that the support team takes quite a long time to answer and we had a few issues until now. One of them is not being able to give access to other users like your graphic designers, so everything needs to be managed from one user account. Key functionalities like being able to delete old or no longer needed designs in the design studio are not available and they create a big chaos of designs with so many products and customisations. Also the filtering options in the my products sections is very limited and does not allow you to group them. The process of creating and applying templates to products could be simplified, unfortunately they do not provide tutorials on how to do it properly so I had to make a lot of mistakes until i worked it out. There are also inconsistencies for example the product has a name on the website and a different one in the templates and some templates do not have the right dimmensions. Beyond the tool, we have had a couple of issues with shipments, the delivery times are much longer than what it is stated in the website. My last customer order was placed on 17 March and the customer just told me they have not yet received it after 10 days. This is a big issue!

First of all I'm impressed with the quality of their products. Everything is well-made, from creams and serums to packaging. The app is incredibly easy to use, making it simple to manage orders and streamline operations. What truly stands out, though, is their customer support. I faced an issue with shipping caused by the courier, and even though it wasn’t their fault, the SelfNamed team (special thanks to Utpinjar!) went above and beyond to help me resolve it quickly and efficiently. I’m very happy with the service and products, and I’ll definitely continue working with them. Highly recommended!

Very nice products and perfect customization options but terrible customer service, they answer once every 2-3 days, the customer support on their website see the chat but they simple do not care and they answer next day or even week.

I can’t tell you how much it helps for a small business to be able to order small quantities without having to break the bank. The latest update takes away the manual re-sync of the products, resulting in less manual work to be done within Shopify. Takes care of the shipping profiles as well. The product grows and our shops too. Would be nice to be able to create bundles within selfnamed and those will be related to Shopify's product list.

Selfnamed is a really great place to start dipping your toe into the water of wet good cosmetics before committing to a large scale or or developing an expensive formula yourself. The site is really clear and really easy to navigate and makes creating your own artwork very easy as the instructions are so clear. We use canva and have been able to get away with using expensive designers for our graphic design testing. Delivery has been fast and very communicative. The products are seem to be high quality and ethics are considered which is important to our brand. We are excited to try the app now that we are further developing our range with Selfnamed.

I had high hopes for this app, but it has been nothing but trouble. First off, it doesn't sync the products properly, which defeats the whole purpose of using it. The sign-in form is hit or miss; sometimes it works, and other times it just doesn't. On top of that, the customer service is absolutely terrible. They are unresponsive and unhelpful. I tried reaching out multiple times, but I got no resolution to my issues. Save yourself the frustration and uninstall this app. There are much better options out there.
