ShipStation Orders & Inventory

FRAUDULENT COMPANY! I agreed to $20/month for the app. They have been charging my credit card for $49.99/month for 3 months and refuse to reimburse. Then they tell you that you need to add $$ to your shipping account - In fact for Canadians using Fedex you do not use these funds and they still have not refunded the $$ that I put into my shipping account in the app. They have customer Service until you are signed on, and then its almost impossible to get through to someone. DO NOT GET THIS APP!
Hi there, we are sorry to hear that we missed the mark. We always appreciate feedback so that we can offer the 5-star support we strive for. As of 7/27/23, we have followed up with our teams and confirmed that you will be refunded back to the original payment method. This should be completed within the next 3-5 business days and has been communicated via your open ticket. If you have additional questions or further concern, we would encourage you to respond to the open ticket and we’ll have our teams ensure resolution right away.
We've shipped 5,350 orders using this terrible software and this is our review. I write this review as we currently have 250+ orders that need to be shipped. We have countless upset customers emailing us to inquire about their late and unreceived orders. We haven't been able to bulk ship orders because Shipstation's software is down. USPS altered their shipping services 11 days ago on July 9th. Because of this slight change at USPS all of our orders that will use USPS can not be bulk shipped. The only options we have now is to either ship orders one at a time or to use another more expensive shipping service like UPS and FedEx which will cost us hundreds of dollars. We've tried contacting Shipstation via their chat support 3 times in 3 days for almost a week. Each time we've spoken to a new lazy, slow and poorly trained agent that seems to be from a foreign country. They've waste our time and failed to solve this issue or to tell us when it would be fixed. Each time we're asked to send screenshots and are asked a bunch of useless and generic questions about our issue. We've also spoken to their "premium" phone support 2 times in 2 days who've told us Shipstation has known about this software error for many days and has yet to fix it. When we told them how frustrated we were about this and how long it was taking to be fixed we were given a typical corporate nonsense response that sounded something like "our engineers are aware of this issue and are working very hard to resolve it very soon." In our opinion Shipstation is: 1. A poorly designed software that constantly breaks and causes us slow shipping times and headaches. 2. Is too complicated and hard to learn and use. Simple tasks require multiple steps. 3. Has poorly trained, slow and useless support that don't know how to troubleshoot and fix their own software. 4. Is too expensive considering the low quality service it offers. 5. Has pathetically slow progression when it comes to fixing issues with their software.
I would stay away from them completely unless they hire new staff and rebuild their software and their customer support team. They are unresponsive, lack knowledge, and always point their finger at someone else as the root cause of the issue, even when it ultimately comes down to their poorly written software. Their software is not updated in a timely manner, so when Shopify makes an update , ShipStation no longer works and you are sitting waiting for 6+ months for them to actually fix it so that you can get orders out without the fear that things are not going to work.
We appreciate and consider your feedback and take our merchants’ concerns very seriously. We show that one of our Support managers gave you a call on July 16, 2023 to work with you further on your issues. We understand your concerns about resolving data synchronization issues. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, as well as being responsive to our merchants’ needs. If we can help further with your concerns, please let us know.
We have been using Shipstation for over 5 years with great success and have even recommended it to anyone that asked... Unfortunately, they just made some updates that broke their system... Need to update an address or an order in shopify? That update might not make it to shipstation... ever. I tried reaching out to their support team, and they did reply and saw the problems, but they just blame Shopify... It sounds like their developers need to update their integration again so it actually works for ALL of their customers. Additionally they now charge an additional fee ($30 in our case) to use our own carrier account... seriously looking to move on from them...
Hey there, thank you for taking the time to review our platform. We are sorry to hear that we have missed the mark. We'd love to schedule a time to hop on a call to work through any current issues. Our team will be in touch via email shortly.
They almost have worse service than Shopify. Almost. Not worth the ever-increasing-amount of money. Better platforms for cheaper. Wish the FTC would stop Auctane from buying up all their competitors, gutting the service and jacking up the rates.
Terrible app. We often have issues with orders not uploading. ShipStation Support can take days to begin investigating issue. Huge headache!
The app works great when it works, but when it glitches and your shipping company charges you 30,000 for labels that were made by mistake, Shipstation is dismissive and slow to respond, let alone correct the issue. Very very dissapointed in their level of service.
I'm a huge fan of this service and all the ShipStation employees I've talked to! This app has helped me save time and money on labels. Thank you!! 10/10 recommend!!
UPDATE: RATED ARE GLITCHY AND MY BILL WAS INCREASED FROM GRANDFATHERED PRICE TO $100 MORE THAN THE PRICING SHEET SAYS. CHAT DOESN'T WORK, NOR DO THE PHONES AND EMAILS TAKE FOREVER TO GET A REPLY. THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT RESPOND QUICKLY ARE THE SALES TEAM WHICH ONLY TALK TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS CON's: 1) The automatic import of orders every hour was discontinued by shipstation without informing anyone so that they can create a instantaneous import for which they have no idea when it will be available. 2) Recently there have been a lot of glitches. 3) The new layout is missing stuff that the old layout had. 4) You can't assign a item to a package so when the tracking number is sent to shopify it marks the entire order as fulfilled even if you only shipped 1 of the 5 items on the order.
Customer service is non-existent.. you can NOT actually talk with anyone at all regarding any issues. I have set up two users for different logins and only one works. When we attempt to remove the other user and reload them into their platform, it states that they already exist and we can not add another user to the account, yet we pay for multiple users... The platform is somewhat easy to navigate, but the service is terrible. I can only ship from my address... I can't put any other ship from locations into the system as it will not allow you to process orders if a different address is used from your main account address. The system sucks! Support SUCKS YUUUUUGE D!
Does not integrate, does not work. App is unsupported in Shopify. I would steer clear. I have contacted support multiple times and I haven't had any proper response, telling me that it's not their issue, or to use a work-around that is basic.
I would not recommend Shipstation due to their lack of technical support resources. The customer support reps do the best they can, however, when it comes to any issue that is slightly technical it can take weeks so find a solution. Shipstation defaults to: "it's been escalated to senior support" — however we have yet have an issue resolved once it reaches this stage. At this stage there is no visibility or transparency to the status of the issue, or the time it which it will take to find a resolution.
We have used ShipStation for years, and depended upon it for fast efficient labels. Since Shopify rolled out "Locations," we have been able to print to either warehouse and "change" the location in Shopify each time. Suddenly ShipStation no longer does this. Its been a couple of weeks now, and I have to manually change the location the inventory is pulling from in Shopify. We get 100 - 200 orders per day. Support has moved from "escalating to the dev team" to actually trying to gaslight me, claiming that what I say ShipStation has done for years has never been possible.
ShipStation is one of the best shipping software you could find in the market. We use it on a daily basis, works very well with Shopify stores. With the scan / verify feature, we reduce our mis-ship rate gradually. Will definitely recommend to all Shopify users.
Good... when it works. We constantly have issues due to updates. They change things that dont work as well for us, then we have to change how we process our orders. Right now, our orders will not even import to ShipStation and they can't tell us why.
We’ve been using Shipstation for a few years, and it completely changed our order fulfillment process. We’re an omni-channel ecommerce business and the ability to see all our orders from the different selling channels in one place allowed us to streamline our processes and improve our order fulfillment timelines. It also allows us to offer multiple shipping options to our customers without having to change the process of how we create and print the labels. 10/10 would recommend for any small business looking to fulfill orders more efficiently!
We have used them for 6 years now and couldn't recommend a better software to use for shipping. They are one of the few that works and cares about its customers and will go above and beyond for you!
The app works well except for printing problems from time to time. However I would not recommend using their insurance - 'shipinsurance'. The app allows you to buy insurance on an item even if it is not insurable. I have been using the app assuming if I could buy insurance the item was insurable. I have filed my first claim in two years and it has been denied as the shipping option was not insurable despite the fact that they offered insurance on my shipping option. I would have chosen a different shipping option had I known this. App needs to be fixed so that insurance is not offered on non-insurable shipping options.
I am so frustrated at this app and the lack of support that we have been receiving. Ever since the update, Shipsation has been a total disappointment. We used it without any issues for the past 5 years but once the upgrade happened, nothing has been functioning properly. It's time-consuming to have to reach out to tech support constantly because their app isn't functioning properly. I am looking into a different fulfillment app.
Love Ship station streamlines all my shipping into 1 central place. I am able to ship from multiple sales platforms and use my multiple courier accounts.
