ShipStation Orders & Inventory
All reviews
I've already written detailed reviews praising ShipStation, so this review is for the Shopify app only. It works flawlessly. Installs in seconds, and just about zero setup work to do. It just works.
Awesome shipping rates and super easy to use. what used to take several hours only took about 20 minutes to create shipping labels for about 80 shipments! I am sold and upgraded from my free trial immediately after my first day of shipments. Sincs up perfect with Shopify Strongly recommended
Use Shipstation with two of the businesses I manage and couldn't be happier with the results. Phenomenal tool!
best option available. tried a few others first. get this one ;)
Saves my staff tons time. Well worth it if you ship many items a day.
This app is a game changer for us. We sell on various channels including Etsy, Amazon, Shopify and Ebay. ShipStation pulls in all of our open orders on all of these channels and enables us to manage them in one place. Unfortunately, not all of the order details can be imported from Amazon (this seems to be an issue from Amazon's end) so we continue to print out our orders from each channel and then cross-reference them with the open orders in ShipStation. If they could successfully get all the order details pulled in from all of our channels and then provide formatting for us to print the orders including any customizations and customer notes from right within ShipStation I would rate them 5+ stars. As it is, the app still saves us time and money and pays for itself several times over. Their support team is also great to work with - very responsive.
We started with shipstation about one year ago and we had an interesting dilemma. We are located in Canada, most of our customers are in the United States and shipping with Canada Post is expensive (as compared to USPS). So we needed a solution where we could ship from our office in Canada (Vancouver Area) through Canada Post & DHL for our USA/Int Express. We also needed a way where we could ship with USPS from the post office across the border. The actual shipping from the USPS office across the border was a task in itself but we figured a great way to do it and reach out to me if you want more info on that. The problem was I could not figure out how to have two different countries to ship from with Canada Post/DHL/USPS in the mix. I am sure there must be a ton of solutions but the only one that was easy was Goshippo. I really liked goshippo and will recommend it to anyone but it doesnt have the automation and rules that shipstation has. I also tried shipping easy and Ordoro - Both great tools that had automation and easy built into it but couldnt duplicate the total ease of shipstation and the origin shipping as offered by goshippo. Well the answer is that with everything the easiest way was to maintain two shipstation accounts. The orders still feed into both easily and I can rule and automate the vast majority of the functions. The batch process works well and it was relatively easy to train our shipping team on the process. In conclusion, I give 5 stars for the quality of the product and the ease of automation. I would still like to see the tool allow for origin shipping that I need but for the price and the small inconvenience it really isnt that bad. I guess I could always use a more enterprise version of another app but we know that those developer fees can add up fast!
We could not live without this app. We tried a few other shipping apps (to remain nameless) and had trouble with all of them. We have had no issues with Shipstation and when we ran into any problems, we were helped quickly. Definitely a solid company. They do seem to tinker with features quite a bit - not necessarily valuable to us - but the changes have never negatively affected us. Highly recommended.
Has made our life packing and shipping orders so much easier! Definitely a must have app.
I've been using ship station for over 6 months and I couldn't be happier. They make my life so much easier. Before ShipStation, I was literally printing postage from the USPS website, copy and pasting addresses one by one. ShipStation has always been accurate and a solid platform. If you're not using this app, you're simply not living.
Signing up with ShipStation was the second best decision we've made for our online store (with Shopify being #1). ShipStation makes shipping so much easier and faster. No more need to juggle between UPS WorldShip, FedEx.com, and Edicia, just to print labels. Now we can enter in an address and see all the rates from each shipping provider and pick the best option for each package. ShipStation also puts all the tracking number in for us automatically, which saves a ton of time. We're extremely satisfied with ShipStation, and we're always excited to see new features added.
This app makes the whole shipping process super simple! Absolutely love this app!
ShipStation saves us hours of work! For us it easily: - prints labels in batches, 100s at a time ( we used to do it 1 by 1!!, so annoying to do and takes up so much time) -sends tracking info to customer then sends off confirmation when it's delivered. -fulfills the orders automatically in Shopify -gives us a live rate from our Fedex account, so we know how much it costs without checking on the Fedex site -now it also gives us the transit time ( new feature!) -it allows the use of colored tags which is amazing for organization + so much more. ..they've added a bunch of new things since we starting using it 4 months ago. So it's going to only get better and better. If you ship a good amount of product, use this app, it's a must! - Canada's premier online cheese shop and Cheese of the Month club - Cheesyplace.com
Best Shipping company we have used. Combines all of our sales channels into one easy to use shipping station. No more switching from one program to another for different websites.
Amazing app its extremely useful glitch free and fast. Love that it integrates with everything out there Most useful thing is the Shipstation connect app that runs on a computer or server and overcomes any printer issues and compatibility . using the dymo 4xl shipping is fun and fast. Automation is pretty neat too
We've used Shipstation for over a year and it's hands down the best stand alone shipping application. Just about everything that needs to be done, ShipStation is able to do. Automated returns and split orders are both live savers, are are batch processing. Definitely a good investment.
Big fan of ShipStation. It integrates easily with everything we need (Shopify, Stitch Labs, Printer, etc) and can be customized to automate specific package details if you want it to. The reports it can run are super helpful such as easily comparing the shipping we're charging customers vs. our actual shipping costs. Also appreciate that it gives us access to commercial shipping rates on USPS. Would definitely recommend!
Best shipping service we've used. Easy to process orders. Love that it's cloud based. Log in from anywhere and no software to maintain.
ShipStation was just great until a few months ago. Then things started going wrong. The app began to lose track of our scale at random times and could no longer read weights. At first we thought it was the computer we were using so we bought a new one but it did not help. I tried downloading ShipStation Connect and reinstalling it but it still did not fix it. So we decided maybe it was our scale and replaced that as well. All to no avail, so I went to the forum to see if there was anyone else having issues. I found not one but many others having the same problem with the printer or the scale. That was not the worst of it though. They made a change to the weights and included a decimal place in the ounces. This caused errors in more than one area and I submitted a request to support to tell me how to remove the decimal from my set up. Well, I got lectures, articles and repeated explanations as to why I needed that decimal. I was told that there was no way the decimal could have caused any problems and that it was there to stay. And that was that - we immediately began looking for a new app to replace ShipStation. Absolute worst customer service and support ever experienced.
This app has definitely made shipping easier for us. The software allows auto import of customer data from many sites and shipping rates are automatically applied if filters and rules have been set up. However I'd caution anyone who is looking for shipping software to shop around. Shipstation offers no phone support, the software has difficulty automatically splitting applying shipping rates to orders containing multiple items, and the bulk import tool sucks. This means that if you have lots of customers that buy multiple items, you're still doing a lot of manual sorting. Also, if you run a Kickstarter campaign, for example, and need to import several hundred orders VIA .csv, you're going to run into problems.
