Smile: Loyalty Program Rewards

Setting up a loyalty program has been a big project for us to tackle for a long time. We did extensive research on the best loyalty programs for Shopify. We compared the super high offers of certain app developers and found we would pay so much each month without a complete program. We tried other loyalty apps from some lower-entry apps and had to deal with bugs, lag time, and errors. I don't have a lot of experience with the app yet so I am hesitant to rate it. But my experience reaching out to customer service to get help with early set up of the app was excellent and I would definitely recommend the app based on that alone - it can be so hard to get prompt and helpful customer service from a real human!

It's too early to rate the app yet, as we have just recently added it. But, the help from Lynn to iron out some issues we experienced was great and very helpful.

Bill and the Team at Smile were wonderful in listening and understanding the issue I had due to a recent change to my account that I brought to their attention. Within 48 hours they proposed a solution and implemented it with care and concern. I wish EVERY one of my vendors, software suppliers and more worked this way, the world would be a much better place with much bigger SMILEs, thats for sure! Thank you Bill & Team.

Von der Funktionalität ist die App in Ordnung. Leider können nicht alle Inhalte auf Deutsch übersetzt werden, was es uns unmöglich macht die App Blöcke im Checkout oder anderen Bereichen zu nutzen. Einen Stern gibt es deshalb, dass es leider überhaupt keine Möglichkeit gibt zusammen mit dem Support eine Lösung zu finden, auch wenn wir einen Teil der Kosten für die Entwicklung übernehmen würden. Weder eine Lösungsvorschlag noch ein Angebot haben wir auf zweifache Nachfrage erhalten. Das ist sehr schade :(. The functionality of the app is fine. Unfortunately, not all content can be translated into German, which makes it impossible for us to use the app blocks in the checkout or other areas. We give it one star because unfortunately there is no possibility at all to find a solution together with the support, even if we would bear part of the costs for the development. We have received neither a proposed solution nor an offer after two requests. That is a great pity :(.

Love it - probably the best loyalty program for Shopify that I've had the pleasure of using. We started with Smile, left for Stamped.io, then left for influence.io and we're back on Smile after all that. Didn't know what we lost til we left. They welcomed us back and it's been seamless since. EDIT: Lynn was a rockstar and helped fix our theme issues within a few hours

Updated 4th August 2025: I needed further help (due to my own doing) with the app, Andrea was incredibly helpful and super kind, and helped me out almost immediately. Thank you again! Original Review: Awesome experience so far, I needed a little bit of help and was expecting to wait a few days but Karen replied with everything I needed to know within 24 hours. I'm just moving from WooCommerce to Shopify and totally not used to the excellent support. The app is amazing so far, there's still a heap more for me to explore which I'm pretty excited about. 10/10 experience.
