I switched to this app after having issues with other translation and currency exchange apps on an expansion store. Absolutely unacceptable. This app wiped out ALL my manual translations. I am beyond angry. This app completely destroyed days of professional, manually written translations without any warning or consent. After granting translation permissions, it automatically overwrote every single manual translation I had carefully created in Shopify Translate & Adapt. This happened right after I contacted support because core languages (Dutch and German, my MAIN website languages) were missing from the language picker. Once they “fixed” that, the app decided to retranslate everything from scratch, ignoring all existing manual content. The result is catastrophic: • Incorrect translations • Unnatural language • Brand-damaging terminology • Product and ingredient names that no native speaker would ever use This is not a small bug. This is a fundamental, dangerous flaw. Any translation app should respect and protect manual translations by default. Overwriting them automatically is reckless and shows zero understanding of how real businesses operate. If you value your brand, your SEO, or your time: DO NOT install this app without a full backup. One action can erase days of work instantly. Completely unacceptable!!!!!

The support was helpful and professional, but the response time was quite long because everything is handled by email. In e-commerce, we really need live chat support—especially on Shopify—to resolve issues faster. Adding real-time chat would greatly improve the experience.

They promote that there is a free version. I installed it and it is only possible to use the native language and no translation in the "free version". You can literally do nothing. Just a waste of time.

The app is presented as free when it's not. Please don't get me wrong: I totally get why such apps would require a subscription, what I dislike is that you discover that you need to pay after having installed it. The 1 star is about this practice of presenting as free something that is not The free plan includes 1 target language, which you would get for free with Shopify translate and adapt. It still has the advantage to include currencies I guess. But if you need anything more, then it will be 15 dollars/months.
