When we set up the translation, we still had a few unanswered questions. We received a reply to our email within an hour. Super fast, detailed and helpful answer!
Overall we are very happy with Weglot since it translates everything well. But one major downside is, that it is not well integrated in Shopify Markets and Shopify Languages. It is basically it's own layer which is not fully and deeply integrated into the Shopify system.
The app is definetely the best option for automatic translate. I used it to translate our website in one more language. The customers support was amazing and they respond and help in every problem faced or queries.
The staff have been extremely responsive and helpful in guiding me through working out different issues! Sometimes there might be some coding issues (as we all know Shopify is a bit complicated), but they are always willing to provide different alternatives :)
Hands down one of the best apps we have. 10 points for ease of use and design. 10 points from their customer service (especially Baptiste). We downloaded the app to and easily began fine tuning the automatically translated text. We needed help getting the app to witch the main drop down menu and some other dynamic elements. Once we messaged the support team, we were contacted by Baptiste with everything was fixed before hand! So the emails we wrote back to Baptiste were just thank you emails for helping us out (no need to go back and forth to fix our request). Superb service!
Service answers very fast and is very helpful, but there are also a lot of self help options if you have a problem with certain things
I do not recommend the use of this app. It has misconfigured the details of the products and now the invoices do not come out right and the support has been unable to solve it. Pretty bad support.
Honesly, the app is a pretty great tool, even though it does have some issues, obviously. What isnt so obvious though, is their technical support team! they do wonders and deserve all the praises. We ran into many problems with Weglot's service in terms of technicallities and translations. However, every time was professionally and thoroughly handeled by the great IT team, especially Alexis - who was a HUGE help and always responded with grace and willingness to get the issues resolved (no matter how many ping-pong emails were involvled) . This is not taken for granted, and I really am happy to know that Weglot has these awesome people in the backstage of IT doing these wonders! God bless you guys! Weglot is just great for translating our shopify shop. Even better is the support team - really fast and helpful responses for any issues. Clear recommendation.
I used the Weglot app for French translation, and it does the job. Very easy to setup and run. It does translate all 3rd party apps as well.
Good app, interesting to have the store translated immediately. Good customer service when you are an active user. But with an important problem: If you do a lot of dynamic translation, it slows down the page speed a lot without any other solution from the technical support than to delete dynamic translation requests. That has been the main reason for me to switch to another app taking advantage of the change of my store from Debut to Dawn theme and the launch of Markets in Shopify 2.0. The main task: I had to go from a subdomain using Weglot es.xxx.com to a subdirectory using Shopify xxx.com/es (with the entire store translated again with Translation Lab) and that means, if it is not done correctly, a shower of 404 errors apart from the loss in SEO positioning for the same reason. That meant looking for a solution to do 301 redirects because in my case I was never going to use the es.xxx.com subdomain again. It was just then that Weglot tech support told me they couldn't help anymore... I can come to understand it if you're going to abandon them. I found the solution in the Shopify community: Before deleting anything, you have to register a hosting with SSL with the es.xxx.com subdomain and redirect from there.
