For my client, there was a business requirement to collect a lot more customer information than Shopify native could do. As we have also enabled Sparklayer for their b2b business we needed a tool that would work flawlessly with both Shopify and Sparklayer. Helium Customer Fields is easy to use, reliable and while some configuration issues occurred initially, support was prompt and the client is working as desired. Documentation was a bit slim on the ground when I first implemented things, but once I understood their process, it all got easy. Recommended.
Love this review! We built CF because merchants needed custom data collected during registration and it's great to hear that we're still providing exact and robust solutions. We love Sparklayer and have many shops that use both CF and Sparklayer in tandem to accomplish their goals. Customer Fields has been an outstanding addition to our store for two reasons. The robust features and the exceptional support team. The app workflows and variable rules you can create are excellent. It was easy to setup rules for collection tax exempt documents for certain states which is very important for our business. This feature alone has significantly improved our customer experience and streamlined our internal workflows. The support has been amazing! We had some issues with the CSS and Jakin was able to quickly resolve the issue for us. I highly recommend Customer Fields to anyone looking for a versatile and customizable solution.

When someone leaves a bad review on your app, you start sending them emails every day asking them to change it. But when a customer actually needs your help, you don’t respond to any emails at all.
We received one ticket from you about a month ago on a Sunday. We replied the next day when we were back in office, and offered a refund. We also sent a follow up to that email, but we didn't receive a reply to either email. You have been issued a full refund. Is it possible that our emails ended up in your spam folder? We follow up with ALL users regardless of their experience. We take extra care with users who have had a bad experience, because creating a good experience is how Helium has done business for over 10 years. In regards to your statement "you start sending them emails every day asking them to change it" is defamatory and wholly unfounded. There is no basis for this comment.

Phenomenal support - I originally left a 1-star review due to a serious flaw: the “approve” button wasn’t showing on mobile when the list was long — which made it impossible to approve customers on the go. It had been that way for over a year, and I was told it wasn’t on the roadmap. - To their credit, Helium’s leadership stepped in quickly after my review. They acknowledged the issue, pushed a hotfix almost immediately, and offered a credit for the inconvenience. The COO even reached out directly and genuinely owned the situation. - The issue is now resolved, and mobile approvals are working as they should. It shouldn’t have taken this long, but the way they handled it once it reached the right person gives me confidence in their willingness to listen and improve. - Thanks to the team for finally addressing it.

Customer Fields has been a great solution for our store, not only because of its features, but also because of the awesome support. This app allowed us to enable customer profile editing directly by customers themselves from the My Page area — something that Shopify's default setup doesn’t support. We were also able to enable the “Require email verification” option easily. These features have made a big difference for both our customer experience and internal operations. Whenever we’ve had questions or needed clarification, the support team — especially Brett — responded quickly and clearly. Their guidance helped us resolve things smoothly and with confidence. They also supported us with updating our DNS records. The team truly stands out. Thank you again for your reliable and thoughtful support! We’re very happy with our experience and highly recommend this app to anyone looking for both flexibility and trustworthy support in a registration app.

We were able to avoid complicated backends to enable secure authentication to write customer data to Shopify. The support team at Helium was excellant and helped us trouble shoot a lot of custom functionality we built around their form builder.

Great app with a ton of features that expands upon forms and account creation flows. Very useful to deal with New Customer Accounts. Amazing customer support - shoutout to Brett! Super knowledgeable and responsive.

Helium's team is top notch!! We created a Form through them and we were having issues with the email flows that we set up on our own. When I reached out to the support team (specifically Brett), he got all the way into the email template code through Shopify and helped me figure out exactly what the issue was. I couldn't be more grateful because it was starting to cause issues for our customers. I highly recommend Helium and their team to support your business

We are using Helium Customer Fields along with its sibling app: Strike Automatic Discounts. Both are great app, Strike to offer automatic discount, Customer Fields to set up a form. The support is responsive and friendly, very easy to understand without cumbersome technical terms. They are open to new ideas and needs of merchants, too. So we are really happy. As some other merchant mentioned, they are kind to go beyond the app function and suggests possible methods like combining Shopify Flow, and how it works. Very clever made app with very kind people behind. Thank you very much!

I downloaded this app, but after reaching out to customer support, I learned something surprising—their app could do what I needed, but it would be easier and free with the Shopify Flows app! I couldn’t believe it. Instead of just taking my business, the support team genuinely cared and recommended a different, cost-free solution. Incredible customer service and HONEST company! They’ll be my first choice when I need a solution for customer fields. They’ve earned my business!
