It would be really nice if Shopify had integrated digital downloads in their system because I feel like every app they design just falls to the wayside. I couldn't even get an MP3 file to download properly. Just took me to a new page where you had to Right Click, Save As but I couldn't even save the file correctly. It just wanted to save the audio file as a Browser html file. That was on a desktop, by the way. Can't imagine the headache of a mobile download. Why bother having these apps at all if no one is maintaining or checking to see if there are incompatibilities?

Doesn't work well for products that have multiple page downloads. Most of my products have 2-5 pages to download so I can't offer these as a product at the moment. Disapppointing.

Since last update I cannot access upload from within my product in shopify. "add digital file), error "no such page". But instead have to go the Apps new dashboard, search again for the product and only then can upload. THIS IS A MUCH WORSENED WORKFLOW!! Will you do something about it?

I don't understand what the new app accomplishes. I can no longer get unique download links for customers who need to re-download the program. What does this revision do?

Honestly, this app worked beautifully from 2017 - 2022. Then they updated it, now it takes forever to upload anything, Then near the end says upload failed, constantly crashes, doesn't deliver my files to the customers, and has me pulling my hair out in frustration. I am only now reviewing it because it worked fine before! Come on guys, please fix this! And don't say, oh its fine from our end. It's not acceptable. I am only giving it 2 stars because it worked well for a few years. Now it drives me insane! Is it because it's free? I am happy to pay for an app that actually works! Please fix this!

I don't know if it's just me, but I've been using this app recently, but I kept getting a 504 Gateway timeout message. Then it told me the app was outdated. But after a while, the app worked absolutely fine. Is the app working OK?

Useful app for my site - but there was a recent change where download file purchases can no longer be automatically flagged as Fulfilled. Is it possible to provide this option again?

I am enjoying this component, and I want to suggest, perhaps add on a couple functions to make it an even better experience for users. 1. File Uploaded Timestamp 2. Auto Or Manual Expiration Date for once order has been created. For example, download link only works for 7 days., etc

Funktioniert soweit ganz gut. Ist es möglich 1 Download pro Kauf einzubauen? Bis jetzt leider noch nicht. Die Anzeige direkt nach dem kauf ist nur auf Englisch möglich, mehr Einfluss auf das Design wäre auch nichtt schlecht.

HORRIBLE APP FULLFILLS FRAUD ORDERS!! ANYONE WITH A STOLEN CREDIT CARD CAN ORDER YOUR ITEMS AND DOWNLOAD THEM!!! THEN A FEW DAYS LATER SHOPIFY WILL STEAL THE MONEY BACK FROM YOU AND CHARGE YOU A $15 CHARGE ON TOP OF GETTING YOUR ITEMS STOLEN!! THEY KNOW WHATS GOING ON AND STILL CONTINUE TO LET THIS HAPPEN!! DISGUSTING!!!! EMAILED THEM MANY TIMES AND CONTACTED SUPPORT OVER A DOZEN TIMES!! I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER BY THE FRAUD CUSTOMER AND BY SHOPIFY!!

As a reminder, Shopify will flag suspected fraudulent orders for you with different levels of likelihood. If you're falling victim to fraudsters purchasing your digital downloads, consider changing your download settings to require manual fulfillment. This will let you review fraud indicators and determine if the person purchasing is a legitimate customer. There doesn't appear to be any way of automatically fulfilling digital pre-orders. I will soon have several hundred paid pre-orders, but the digital file will not be ready for another 2 weeks, and I don't want to have to go in and manually fulfill every single one by hand. I would happily pay for an app that added this functionality and worked 100% reliably! Also note that in the last year about 5% of my digital product customers were never sent a link to their paid order. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

This app use to work great but now it only sends downloads to a few people and I have to manually send to the rest. Support told me that they would try to fix the problem but to just keep sending manually for now. Im currently looking for a better app.

I like the app and works well. Is there any way to translate to Spanish the text that appears in the checkout? "You will also receive an email with download links for your digital purchases"

This app is absolutely worthless and, just like everything else on Shopify, they don't have a clue how to fix anything and I always end up having to go spend money on an app that actually works. This app does not allow you to control when the digital download is sent to your customer, so if you're using this app as a add-on download to a physical product, it won't send it to the customer until the order is fulfilled. We need the download link sent when the order is paid for. Seems logical, right? Yea, not to Shopify. You also cannot edit the email that's sent. Nothing about this app is useful and Shopify gives you the same answer they give every time...."We will send this to our developers to have a look at it". Yea, right.

While you can enable automatic fulfillment for digital products (https://bit.ly/3pvcVMq), this isn't recommended for digital products with physical components involved. However, one option is to create your digital products separately, so that our app can send the download links as soon as the order is paid for. If you're looking to edit the email template, then we've also got a step-by-step guide on how to do that here: https://bit.ly/3dD3RTb. We'd also recommend reviewing the notification variable reference (https://bit.ly/3AzpSLH) when editing your email template. We use this app to supply free files which accompany bought physical products. It almost works but is very buggy and you have little control over customer notifications (it seems to send them at random). Downloads have also vanished at times and had to be created again. It generates too much customer service traffic, and after three and a half months of struggling with it, we're going to look for an alternative.

Unfortunately you can't develop in SAFARI with this app. It would be really nice if they would have said that and saved me an hour trying to figure that out. I haven't tried testing a download with Safari as yet. Let's hope it at lest does that.

It badly misses the ability for users to re-download their files from their account page. It is such a hassle to keep having customers email because they can't access the links or lost the emails. If that would be added the app is definitely more than worthy of 5 stars!
