This app is very very dangerous we have lost all our orders and clients data Is looks like a hack to as and to our customers.

Info for anyone reading this: The store never provided any information about loss of data. The app does not even have access to modify Order information in stores, so it's actually not technically possible either.. never did understand this one :)

We experienced a critical failure with the Orderly Emails app that resulted in all 70 of our Shopify collections being deleted, along with our main navigation menu. This completely broke our site navigation and effectively rendered our store unusable. Customers could not browse products properly, and the structure of our site including SEO-critical elements was severely impacted. What makes this worse is how this was handled. The issue occurred days earlier, yet we were only notified on April 1. Unfortunately, this was not a joke. There were no safeguards, no confirmation steps, and no rollback available. An update intended to “clean up duplicates” should never be capable of deleting live business data at this scale. The response provided was simply to check the activity log and manually rebuild. That is not an acceptable outcome when an app has caused irreversible data loss. This was not an isolated issue multiple merchants have reported the same problem, with many updating their reviews to reflect the severity of the impact. This caused significant disruption to our business and required substantial time to correct. Merchants should be fully aware of the level of risk involved when an app has the ability to modify or delete critical store data without proper safeguards.

Update 07/04/2026 You need to read this complete review ( App has been deleted for security and data breach reasons)- The app developers have gone quiet with no support for the disaster they have caused for hundreds, maybe thousands of stores. Not even a follow up email to see if we were able to get things back online. What a disgraceful developer! If you want an app that is produced by AI and has no dev skills from humans then this is the one to kill your entire business over night. if you have been affected by this please contact up as we are proceeding with a class action shortly. This is the reply we have received asking for help - Thank you for your reply, and I'm very sorry for the impact this has had on your business. We completely understand your point, especially when rebuilding requires time and external developer support. We know this has created a real burden for many merchants. However, regarding assistance with costs, we are currently unable to discuss any compensation. I am deeply sorry for the underwhelming answer. We wish we could provide you with a better response right now. Thank you for understanding. Shopify did an audit trail and found this app deleted things Also can not contact Orderly for any help! Will be deleting this app today as it is not safe to use To make this situation worse, the company Forsberg did not and have not communicated with any of their clients until we conntacted them. They have offered no help except for saying that we are responsible to correct the missig collections and menus. Its been 3 days now and still no solutions offered. We have lost all the custom development we had and the SEO has been impacted by severely as we have 404 status showing on many collections with google, Bing, Yahoo plus Facebook and Instagram This issue and lack of support has cost us thousands of dollars in time, lost sales over 2 days and developer costs. There has to be compensation offered by Forsberg!!

This sounds like a great app, but for some reason it's not working for us. I've tried for 2 weeks now. 1 - The template wasn't showing our logo and requested font types, etc then 2 - Addresses in emails (confirmations) weren't showing properly. Making our customers anxious and us looking bad. Support - It seems that the support didn't want to acknowledge that the issue was with the app. None of these issues happened prior to installing the app. Shopify support Tier 2, has confirmed it's the app, but Support just wont help or acknowledge it's an issue or even a POTENTIAL issue with the app. Poor form.

I’m updating my review after nearly 10 years of using this app. Until recently, I had a consistently positive experience and a great relationship with the company. However, on March 29, 2026, an error in their system caused collections to be deleted across affected Shopify stores. In my case, 49 collections were removed. As a one-person business, this has been extremely difficult to recover from. Rebuilding collections and reorganizing my store structure is incredibly time-consuming, and I simply don’t have extra hours in the day to absorb this kind of loss of time and revenue. I’ve spent multiple late nights trying to piece everything back together, and my sales have been in the toilet. I understand that mistakes happen, and I’m generally very willing to extend patience and grace when companies take responsibility and work to make things right. Unfortunately, in this case, there has been no meaningful effort toward restitution. There was no offer of compensation—no free subscription to their other services, no offer to pay for a backup service, and no tangible support such as developer assistance to help rebuild what was lost. While the company issued an apology and shared steps they’ve taken to prevent future issues, the burden of recovery has been placed entirely on affected customers. After many years of trust, this has been a deeply disappointing experience. --- Original Review Below---- Fantastic Developer! My store uses all of the apps by Forsberg+2. I greatly appreciate the "purchase" option for their apps, as opposed to the subscription model presented by other developers. This app is very well designed and thought out - if you are savvy with code at all, you can easily add a bit of personal flair to the templates - and if not, the developer is happy to assist you with subtle changes as you need. Having a full theme application that allows me to keep the same continuity throughout all of my email notices is really the icing on the cake for customer confidence in my brand. Orderly emails just deleted all our collections and hid all sales channel in a single sunday afternoon. FYI email received from them about the incident. So far, they won't offer any refund and support other than saying they are sorry. We have asked them for help as this has impacted our business greatly, but no efforts made. They did not even reach about the incident by email. We had to find out on our own. Incident with Orderly Emails Our app had an incident today, causing incorrect Collections to be deleted from some stores. We have informed Shopify and are investigating if these deletions can be reversed. You can check of any of your Collections were deleted, by checking your Store Activity Log page in the Shopify Admin. Look for the text “Orderly Emails deleted a collection” https://admin.shopify.com/settings/general/activity As soon as the issue was detected, we stopped the process to ensure no additional stores would be affected. As these collections were never stored in our systems, we unfortunately have no way of recreating them ourselves. The release was intended to cleanup duplicate collections created by Orderly Emails when tracking recommended products for your emails, but the bug caused it to delete other collections unintentionally. We are sincerely sorry for this, worst Sunday ever. We will update you as we can.

Extremely shocked and upset at the way this developer is handling their massive blunder that caused entire collections to be deleted from our store, without any way to get them back. They have provided zero assistance in fixing THEIR mistake, and to make matter worse, they are refusing to provide ANY compensation for the lost revenue that results from it. They act like simply informing customers is enough. Incredibly unserious and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs ! I will be looking into ways to hold this company accountable.

EDIT: DISASTER They deleted a bunch of our collections and there was no way to recover them. Massive issue and none of their methods could fix it. Why did they have access to delete collections in the first place? I guess it is my fault for not reading the fine print 10 years ago. They just sent an email saying, opps we deleted a bunch of your collections, sorry. No compensation, no hey maybe we'll offer you the app for free for the next 5 years, just sorry about that, hope you can figure it out. As good as their customer service was in the past, this is a disaster and Shopify should delete their app from the app store for this. Completely unacceptable!

Have used this app for over 10 years. Have recommended it to multiple other store owners. It's been great until now (March 2026) when we get notified (2 days after it's happened!!!) that the app has deleted multiple product collections and multiple menu navigation links across the store. What the hell an email template app is doing making such major changes to non-email related parts of our store is beyond us. Totally unacceptable.
