Very disappointed with the service. There is no support provided even for Unlimited plan subscribers. I have raised a critical bug more than 12 hours ago, yet to get any revert or even ETA on revert. If you are planning to spend $500/month then I would recommend NOT to choose LangShop

Very unhappy with this app right now for three reasons: 1) Many translations failed in the last 17 days (probably more but I do not see older tasks!!!) and I never noticed because the app does not let you know. User experience -1000. Our customer happines also -1000. 2) I have been using langshop for quite a while now and their auto-translate feature does not work with duplicates. Also something no one tells you. 3) Dynamic translations feature is slowing down the site quite a bit. And customers can see the "live" translation which makes your shop look like a dropshipping store.

We appreciate the chance to clarify a few points and help resolve the issues you’ve encountered. 1) The status of each translation (completed or failed) can be viewed in the History section of the app. In most cases with OpenAI translations, the failures may be related to insufficient OpenAI credits. We’ve reached out to confirm this, but haven’t heard back yet. If credits aren’t the cause, our developers will gladly investigate further to resolve it from our side. 2) Auto-sync is designed to translate only newly added products and collections automatically. Duplicated products already contain copied information (including translations), so they are not re-translated automatically. We understand this can be confusing, so in the app and support documentation it's mentioned that newly added items can be translated this way. 3) Many dynamic translation rules can impact loading speed since these translations are rendered directly on the storefront. To reduce this effect, we recommend using dynamic text mainly for third-party app or custom content, while translating Shopify-native content directly in the backend through other sections of the app. We truly appreciate your patience and detailed feedback. Not a good app at all !! Langshop create multiple redirections for each language. After 1 month of using , i have got more than 13000 redirects and more than 6500 404 pages because of Langshop. Langshop is not made for SEO ! Technically it works, but your site will have HUDGE problems in terms of SEO.

All redirections and URL behavior are handled by the Shopify platform itself and depend on its native multilingual and domain setup. If your store generated redirects or 404 pages, it’s very likely related to Shopify’s language subfolder configuration or third-party SEO settings, not LangShop. We recommend reviewing your Shopify markets and domain settings, as incorrect configurations can cause duplicate URLs or broken links. The app is very bad for translations. Many many mistakes and they always will tell you that they are not in charge. Same with their "Glossary" as a converting service. It doesn't work at all. I wasted a whole year to tell them to fix the bad translations and all they do is to change the text manually. They charge me extra with cumulative of hundreds dollars useless !!! They do not agree to make any refund for no service they gave me. Steer clear of this app, it’s pure danger!

Honestly, I have no idea how this app received so many 5-star ratings. The number of bugs within Langshop is unbelievable. Their automated translation system is unreliable and cannot be trusted. Between the constant glitches and frequent app freezes, you'll end up spending more time troubleshooting than actually getting work done. You might as well use Google Translate or an old-fashioned dictionary to manually translate word by word, it would likely be easier and far more efficient. If I could give this app a rating lower than 1 star, I absolutely would. It might be the worst app currently available on Shopify. DO NOT attempt to use Langshop!

Absolutely Terrible Service — Don’t Waste Your Time or Money! This app has been a complete nightmare. We’ve been reporting a critical bug for over THREE MONTHS with ZERO resolution. Despite paying a premium price, the issue still persists and is wrecking our website, reputation, and sales. Support is utterly unresponsive and incompetent. If you value your business at all, DO NOT download or use this app. Save yourself the frustration, lost revenue, and headache. This company clearly does not care about their customers or delivering a working product. Avoid at all costs.

We’ve conducted a thorough review on our end and want to share our findings: - We can confirm that Langshop operates strictly through Shopify’s public API and Theme App Extension - no hidden or undocumented methods are used. - Our logs show that your Theme App Extension is currently disabled. When it’s off, Langshop can’t interact with your theme or trigger any changes that would lead to a server error. - A 500 status code signifies an internal server issue within Shopify’s infrastructure. Since our requests conform to Shopify’s documented workflows, and consistently succeed in other stores, the root cause is almost certainly on Shopify’s side. - Langshop operates strictly within the boundaries of the official Shopify API. We do not have access to or visibility into Shopify’s internal page rendering processes, nor do we possess tools that would allow us to diagnose such server-level issues independently. With that information, we will continue collaborating directly with Shopify’s support team to ensure they have everything needed to diagnose and fix the server-side problem. Used to be Great — Now Ruined by Greedy Pricing Changes This app was easy to use and worked well — until they completely overhauled the pricing plans. The new plans are overpriced and offer less value. It’s frustrating to see a good app go down this path just to squeeze more money out of loyal users. We were planning to expand by adding another country, but the new pricing made it a no-go. We've already started switching to an alternative that's free and powered by AI. Disappointing move by the developers.

I was offered 1 YEAR of free subscription in exchange for changing my review. However, after a long and frustrating communication with the LangShop team, it became clear that they do not truly understand the real issues I’m facing. The app practically doesn’t work properly or doesn’t work at all. Automatic translations often fail or are incomplete. Sometimes translations get incorrectly duplicated or missing. The app’s behavior is inconsistent and unpredictable — only 10-30% of my newly created products are translated correctly. Even after explaining the problem many times in detail, their support still doesn’t grasp the core issues. The process to fix or overwrite translations is complicated, slow, and inefficient. Adding glossary rules is a nightmare since it must be done manually for each language separately, and reapplying translations affects fields I don’t want to change. The technical support responds quickly, which is the only positive thing, but unfortunately, they practically don’t help solve the real problems. When something requires developer intervention, you are often left without any answers. The app itself is quite inconvenient and buggy. Automatic translation of products and collections does not work properly — sometimes it doesn’t translate at all, sometimes only partially, and sometimes it even inserts translations from other products without notifying you. The app shows these products as “translated,” but you only realize the problem when you check the product in the target language. The glossary management is very inconvenient. You have to add each rule separately for every language. In other apps, you can add glossary rules once and apply them across all languages if needed, which is much more practical. Also, the default sorting of products inside the app is “old products first.” To find and translate newly added products, you need to apply the “new first” filter, but applying this filter on 800+ products can take up to two minutes. Worse, the filter resets while you select products, so you have to apply it repeatedly — and with 9 languages to manage, it’s a nightmare. The team asks me repeatedly how I create products, but I always do it the same way — their app just can’t handle normal workflows. Their answers are often excuses, and I had to find my own workaround because their developers apparently can’t or won’t fix the bugs quickly. Months have passed, and “near future” updates still don’t arrive. I subscribed to the “advanced” plan for $75 when old pricing was still valid, assuming unlimited usage, but honestly, it’s not worth it. Especially considering their current astronomical price of $500 per month. In short, the app causes more problems than it solves, and support is unhelpful and defensive. I’m actively searching for an alternative and do not recommend LangShop. The only positive aspect is the polite and respectful customer support, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

Really not recommended. Maybe when you are on the advanced plan it's better, but instead of that, it's a big fail.This app is a joke for me. I don't recommend it. Poor traduction.

However, I would like to point out that the application provides you with the option to use the pro engines ( Google, DeepL, and OpenAI) with the better translation quility. ***STAY AWAY*** IF you pay $34 per month they will try to solve your issues. When I decided to go for the basic plan as I din't need to spent so much and by mistake i changed the language switcher to the default option i couldn't even make it smaller. I didn't ask for any other changes apart from the size of it. Obviously the one the provide with the basic plan is HUGE ON PURPOSE TO LOOK UGLY. Extremely frustrated and I am already searching to replace them. It's not even worthy the $10 they get at the moment.

Unfortunately I had to change my 5 stars rating to one, because for the last week the app is completely useless as it will not translate more that a few products at a time and in just one language when using Open AI. The development team repeatedly and falsely claimed to have found a fix. The issue persists and now I am in search of a suitable replacement app. After several years of using Langshop I am very sorry to say that I am deeply disappointed by their handling of this issue.

*** UPDATE : They say that their customer service is available 24/7, but since I've left this review, they've removed any chat/support contact button from my account, as revenge. Considering the fact that you cannot do any change without the help of customer service, based on this non-user friendly app, I'm telling you, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS APP. Made one of the biggest wrong decision by choosing this app. Now most of my translations is stuck with this app, and if I were able to read the reviews before, I would have chosen differently. Been using this app for about 6 months. EVERY time we want to update anything, because the software is the opposite of user-friendly, we have to ask customer service, who respond 50% of the time, and when they do, they usually tell you that there's nothing they can do on their end, so you should just figure it out yourself. If you want to bulk edit more than 5 products, you need to use their import/export feature, which takes about 5-7 days to import, and 5-7 days to export. So hopefully you're in no rush, because it will take a decade to get your bulk changes in place. Every time you change something on the main version of the website, you'll have to go directly into your website code, to figure out where it's precisely located in the code of your theme, to then locate it in their app. There's no way to just type a word and they will tell you where the translation is - almost need a degree in computer science to get this working. I've received threat of removing the app if I left a bad review, which I'm doing anyway, since I'm fed up with everything. Also why you won't see a lot of negative reviews - they will remove any of your content if you leave a negative review of their app. Do yourself a favor, and don't choose this app, there's a million other one, and I wish someone would have told me this before I choose this one.

Very little support. The translations to spanish were poor and we had too many edits that it wasn't worthwhile. Moreoever, once we deleted the app, it screwed up checkout of many of our products. They were unable to provide a full uninstall and told us to hire a web developer to fix their broken app. I was shocked this app is still on shopify app store.

This software is quite expensive but the service is poor. most cases no working well and answers always like machine, you have to spend a lot time to learn and ask and wait by yourself.

The upgrade to Version 2 has been a total disaster for us. We can no longer use our export/import app Matixify. Trying to download our products using their export/import feature and it is estimating it will take at least 48 days to complete. So far it has been running for 4 days. We now have to get a new and better language app.

Very bad experience, as after installing the app, customer support asked for staff account to see why the new version is not working, but i found later that a change in the HTML code of the original theme took place, so when i uninstall their app, i found the original theme text is completely flipped, and then i found the piece of code added for this reason, if it is intentionally or not, in all cases they should get my permission for any code change, also when i uninstall the app they should tell me and answer me that they changed the code

I have not had a good experience with this application and therefore do not recommend it. After uninstalling it is not possible to delete the code that the app adds to the store template. The solution they offer me is that I contact the team responsible for the development of the template so that they can solve the problem for me. Incredible solution.
