Mailchimp Email SMS Marketing

I was a bit stressed about the disappearance of the Mailchimp for Shopify integration - but ShopSync stepped in and filled that role with very little setup required on my part. It was easy to connect and the integration is working great from what I can tell/test. Thought I would have to switch email providers; glad I don't have to.
Hello, it is now about a week I am using this app. I migrated from the Mailchimp app. So far so (very) good. Had only one issue (but I guess it was coming form Mailchimp): the abandoned cart series I set up previously did not work anymore after the migration. I had to recreate it. No everything works well.
I used this app to sync Mailchimp with Shopify. It was the only FREE option that I had. I would love to have Klayvio but it's more than I wanted to pay at the moment. I read the warnings of how emails were sent to old subscribers, but I had an even more strange thing happen. I had an additional 179 people imported into my mailchimp-emails that were never even on my subscriber or unsubscribe list, and totally unfamiliar to me. Has anyone else had that happen? I have no clue where these random emails came from, but suddenly they received my automated "thank you for subscribing" message and then I had to delete each person individually which wasted hours of time. For some reason mailchimp was not letting me delete multiples at a time. I don't know why this would happen, and now each time I delete a bunch of foreign emails they seem to keep getting added back in. I'm terrified to even use my mailchimp to send a mass email because I'm not sure who's going to get it. I'm tempted to bite the bullet and switch over to Klayvio.
Easy to install, it works well and I could continue using Mailchimp after it parted from Shopify! Very useful!
Great app! Solved my Mailchimp connectivity issue and now I am back to syncing my Shopify email captures with Mailchimp again.
I was a little concerned when I read that MailChimp was no longer going to support their app to integrate with Shopify. However, I found ShopSync and it's even more fully functional that the MC app. It installed easily and just took a little time to sync all of my store info. Couldn't have been any easier and I'm glad to highly recommend the app.
So far the transition has been smooth and reliable. Thank you for giving us the ability to keep our contacts from MailChimp.
Smooth and easy transition. No issues. Glad I'm still able to use Mailchimp after all. Thank you ShopSync. Haven't been able to test all features yet except for Mailchimp integration and Discount Code sync which is why I only rated 4 stars but pretty sure I'll be giving it 5 stars once I have had a chance :-)
Most welcome! Anything we can do on our end to update the rating to be 5 stars? Let us know at [email protected], happy to help anytime.
Was quick and easy to set up the integration following the instructions on MailChimp. I thought I would have to do more ensuring that existing thank you emails and pop-ups would work but they all transferred over smoothly
ShopSync makes it easy to sync my Shopify store to MailChimp. Switched to ShopSync after Shopify and MailChimp had a falling out. The ShopSync support team is always responsive to requests and a joy to work with.
Switched to Shopsync after the fall-out between Mailchimp & Shopify. Set-up was very simple and all seems to be working as it should. Worth looking at the article on Mailchimp giving instructions on transferring from their own app to ShopSync which is very helpful.
Installed this app based on the Mailchimp instructions and I have to say it works very well. The dashboard actually provides a bit more info than the previous Shopify app and the integration is doing what it says it should. Thank you for providing a neat solution to the MailChimp / Shopify issue.
This was our solution to the Shopify/MailChimp split. Our developer said it transferred our entire email list of about 30k addresses without issue, and seems to be working as advertised, gathering new emails on our website and transferring over to MailChimp. I love it when things are just simple, and work as advertised. Can't ask for more!
This app worked very easily and quickly. I have only had it for a few days but so far, so good. I love that all my store customers are now automatically in MailChimp for email marketing. This app has been awesome so far.
I needed this fast service for a MailChimp workaround. ShopSync was fast, easy, and now I'm ready to move forward. No problems AT ALL!
Easy to install, works great, I am very pleased! Glad Mailchimp suggested your app. Love the look of the pop-up window encouraging people to sign up for my mailing list.
This app worked for me as the new Mailchimp integration however, my audience count doubled on the day I installed it. There are no duplicate contacts but the counts are doubled and the analytics for install day show a doubling. What's going on? I hope my audience isn't being hit with double emails. Can someone from support respond? Additionally, can't find a way to communicate with ShopSync support. I appreciate the explanation of what went wrong. It would be very helpful if you could tell me how to correct the issue.
Hi there, we saw your review and wanted to get in touch. Up until late yesterday (4/3/19), our app was engineered to include past customers who "Accept email marketing", orders, and products in Shopify. If they showed unsubscribed in Shopify, we ignored the email. In other words, we looked at Shopify as the "truth" and nothing else. Although our intentions for this were done for all the right reasons, it, unfortunately, didn't work for everyone as you saw with your subscriber counts going up. With how we used to perform the initial sync, it would have been possible to re-subscribe users if they had opted out from a Mailchimp list previously. Or, it's also possible the old integration missed real subscribers. Now, we've changed up how we handle the data from Shopify to Mailchimp on the initial sync. Here's more information on how it works: Before any data is processed by ShopSync, we perform integrity checks with Mailchimp to ensure these customers can be sent to the list that is connected. For example, if someone opted out of a list in the past, we won't add the email again. We'll also update Shopify with the correct status that Mailchimp shows. That way, the most current subscriber status in Mailchimp is synced with the store. After the initial sync is complete, we'll continue adding customers, orders, and products from your store to Mailchimp as transactions occur. We'll add customers that visit your store who are deemed transactional as well. That way, you can use Mailchimp's automations to trigger abandoned carts and order notifications. If someone unsubscribes from a Mailchimp campaign or automation in the future, we'll sync the opt-out status back to Shopify and vice versa. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, let us know if you have any follow up questions. We can be reached anytime at [email protected].
This app is working well now for us. At first, it froze when I tried syncing the data, but after a few days and some emails back and front with their support team, we got it working. Email addresses, product blocks etc work great— in fact, the product blocks work better than with the old Mail Chimp app!
I thin this is a best way, how to solve the problem to property connect Mailchimp and shopify. Everything working good. Technical support is very fast. Highly recommended.
Install fails with a 'page not found error'. After confirming install permissions, looks like it wants to redirect to https://storename.myshopify.com/admin/apps/shopsync-2 but fails with a 'page not found' display. EDIT: It looks like the ShopSync app successfully installed, so you can ignore the 'page not found'. Just navigate to Apps > ShopSync > Connect and proceed with step 5 of the MailChimp instructions.
Hi there, thank you for the feedback. After further investigation into this issue, we've found that the app store had an unusual redirect method to our installation page that needed to be corrected. This problem appeared for a small subset of users, but we understand how frustrating this behavior can be if you were one of them. We've worked with Shopify to resolve this problem and it should be fixed now. If you have any other questions about ShopSync, please reach out to our support team at [email protected]. We'll be happy to help.
