The best support team I have ever experienced, we had a slight issue with their app but this was ok as their support team replied and fixed it as quick as possible!

The App works as it should. But the Support is stellar! I have been in contact with them due to various very specific issues and they were not only kind and helpful but also incredibly fast. This made using the App an absolute pleasure.

The app is a theme extension and should work after you activate the embed in the theme settings. But in some cases, if your theme is non-standard, highly customized or there is an external code, that conflicts with our code, you might need to specify your theme’s unique selectors in the app’s settings to make it work. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to find any support requests from you in our system to be able to assist. This app did work but just did not do what we needed. And the support was clear and timely. Our issue was after uninstalling the app. They did correct our issue and support is in the process of cleaning up our site....for which we are grateful...thank you. For reference...The issue was the uninstall process not fully uninstalling the app and all that it created. Many days after uninstall, we noticed that we had two new collections (Fees Products and Products) showing up on our live site and the original add-on fee was still listed as a "product". These collections were generated by the app. In addition, the app adds a set of conditional formatting ("mws_fee_generated") to all of the collections. This was not removed with uninstall and we were concerned there were other code not removed after uninstalling. We could not figure out which app did this or what to do to solve this. We finally found out that it was this app from Mageworx. Took many hours to try and solve and sort out. Not something that we appreciated, but they did correct the issues. Uninstalling an app should clear the app and all that it created. Very poor execution on the uninstall process.

Hello, We appreciate your feedback and are sorry for your experience. We do understand your concern and the inconvenience caused. But the thing is that we can't remove products automatically right after the uninstallation for technical reasons. When you delete the app, Shopify blocks our access to the store via API at once. As a result, we can't perform any further actions like removing products/collections left. That being said, this is caused by Shopify's limitations, and we can't overcome them on our end. As a possible solution, we are considering adding a button to the app's Settings that would clear all the app resources from the store. The store admin will be able to use it before uninstallation. We'd highly appreciate it if you could share feedback about this workaround.

This app doesn't look very good in the shopping cart. It also duplicates and generates its own products, so thats a mess. It also adds its own filters to your collections, also a mess.

We use this to add extra shipping fees for split shipments (we have a lot of pre-orders mixed with in-stock items). It works great, and we've been super impressed with their customer service. They helped fix some things on our cart so the app would work better and did a fantastic job!

Update: Support has been very helpful and has investigated into why it was malfunctioning and added a fix. I will continue to monitor, but it seems like the problem has been solved. We would love this app to work perfectly. Have it all set up correctly, but it will all of a sudden not work for some orders. We reached out and they are going to take a deeper dive into why it might not be working.

Support is excellent and highly responsive, but truly the app is a bit quirky. If you use a hidden fee that is % based, your customers may see an extremely high amount of products in their cart, which I think will really hurt conversions.

This app is one of a kind in Shopify App Store, Very useful when trying to describe and add fees for your products and cart. I have had a bug when adding a new percentage fee to my theme, I hope they solve it before my test period ends. That way I can be 100% sure to keep the subscription.

The app seems to be useful only for flat fees. For fees of a percentage, it's straight up mayhem. They create a product that is $0.01 and apply x number of them depending on the total cost in the cart. So if the total charge is $200, and you want to charge a 3% fee, that's $6 ... So it adds 600 of these 'fee products' charging 1 cent to your cart, so the customer's cart says 601 items in the cart. That's going to freak out some of my customers for sure, no thank you.

I can understand your frustration. We have just made changes to the app that should improve the situation. Let me give you some background on this problem, and describe our solution. In the initial version of the app, in order to add a fee to a shopping cart, we were creating a product for that fee on the fly. For some merchants that resulted in multitude of fee products generated by the app, which sometimes caused problems with Shopify's product limits. A few months ago we decided to rebuild our app from scratch, which included completely reworking the logic of how our fees get created and added to the shopping cart. As a result, our app now creates only a very small amount of fee products, and is also much more efficient and fast. But, as you review also describes, this approach has a trade-off in form of how percent-based fees appear in checkout. We took your review to heart as we realized it raises a valid point. Over the last week we had been working on a solution to target that problem, and today we released an update. This update adds a field called Fee Increment to the fee settings, that will allow you to specify the increment value which is used to form the total fee amount. This approach can decrease the quantity of the fee product in the cart by a factor of 10 or even 100, depending on the Fee Increment value that you specify. We understand this may not completely resolve the problem, but we hope it makes it less prominent, considering the technological restrictions in which we have to operate.
