Excellent product but one major floor. Even through the brother printer 810 is listed on the Shopify Hardware store as a supported printer, you are unable to get a compatible size label which works with the printer. Response, do it manually, or buy another printer, a one different to the one sold in the Shopify Hardware Store!!!!! This is almost discrimrty against people in australia and selling the printer is misleading. How hard is it to add another label size? Hope this gets sorted but guessing it will not, as any issues seem to be ignored. Would love to type more but have to go off and start creating all my labels manually so don't have time to type any more. To add a response the the comment from Shopify. The model you have listed below takes the same labels as the model I have posted. I will be exstatic if you can tell me which 'Product Label', not shipping label, that can be bought in Australia, that will work in the printer and be compatable with this software. The Brother 810 printer model is not listed as supported with the RBL app - please see that list here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/hardware/barcode-printer - and I'm only able to see the Brother QL Wifi Label Printer (QL-1110NWB) printer model as supported and sold in the Australian Shopify Hardware store. If you did purchase that printer from Shopify and were later told it was not supported, we can definitely investigate further for you. I want to increase the size of my fonts when using Zebra - 10010038 labels. Is there a way this can be done?
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out! The Retail Barcode Labels app itself does not provide a direct setting to increase the font size on barcode labels. However, you can customize the label templates within the app to adjust the layout and the information displayed. For more advanced customization, including font size adjustments, you might consider using a Dymo printer with Dymo Label software to print the labels, as this allows detailed design and that may include resizing of label elements including barcodes and text. We would advise confirming with Dymo directly to see if what you need is possible before doing so as they are best placed to confirm. Or you could use a third party barcode label printing app which offers that option. It's been good for printing barcode labels. The options of what to print seems very limited though. Only 8 product detail options and the barcode itself. Given the wealth of data held in product/variant metafields it would be great if this could be referenced too.

This is best free app to generate barcode and print retail labels. But unfortunately, i am not able to add price component in the tag, recently, although it was supported earlier. When creating label template, when price component option is checked , the preview just ignores it and only lists couple of components, and the final print pdf, also indicates same.Looks like a glitch. Hope it will be fixed soon.

This is not responding to my IDRP printer at all

The Retail Barcode Labels app can only be used with supported barcode printer models, please see a list here for reference: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/hardware/barcode-printer#supported. IDRP label printers would not be supported for use with the app, which would be why your printer would be unable to print labels created there. You can purchase a supported label printer from your regional hardware store here - https://www.shopify.com/pos/store - or from a third party supplier of your choice (just make sure to verify the model name and number is on the supported list when buying from a third party). My most used and favorite app so far. It's simple but works great to create barcodes and print labels. We print our labels using dymo label printers (and while they aren't the best), this app makes it super easy to print through Shopify.

Not good. I used this app for almost a year. Suddenly none of the codes being generated are unreadable. Moving on.

Is there any way to hide the barcode number? Seems like I can only hide the barcode, but I cannot hide the barcode number. Please help.

In the barcode template, you should see the option to deselect the **Display barcode symbol** option, please see this screenshot as an example of that option: https://screenshot.click/16-07-17867-74143.png. Once that is deselected and the template is saved, both the barcode and the barcode numbers should not be displayed on the label when printed. If you are looking for 1.18 x .78 price labels on roll, they don't offer that size.

eine einfache anwendung die ihren zweck erfüllt aber doch zahlreiche schwächen hat. in verbindung mit shopify und zebra drucker bleibt kaum gestaltungsspielraum. längere bezeichnungen werden bis zur unleserlichkeit verkleinert um in eine zeile zu passen.

My needs are simple for this. It would be nice if there was also a way to also add product metafields to the label. Like for showing a shorter name, or just product code. Otherwise, it seems to be alright.

This app has worked flawlessly for us for almost 4 years now! I only wish there was a little more flexibility in the fields we can include on tags.

I like using this app but I hate the limitation of the label sizes. Especially, when I got a phomemo label printer and can't find the right size label to print. I have a 1.5 x 1 labels on a roll and there are no option for this size or no option for a 2.25x1 option either. I expected when click on other options there would be an option for custom but nope.

You mentioned that you are using a Phomemo printer - for context, the app is designed to be used only with a compatible barcode printer models which would not include that brand. This means that only labels supported for use with those printers can be printed from the app, which would not include a 1.5'' x 1'' size label. I have been using the app for 3 years now and it used to work fine, but now all of the sudden within the past couple of months, the app is automatically updating barcodes which prevents the labels on existing products from scanning. I keep re adding the barcodes and it continues to randomly change them. I'd love to know of a way to prevent this from happening.

It would be unexpected that the app would spontaneously create it's own barcodes, however, when you are creating barcodes for new products it is possible that the existing ones can be overwritten if the *Replace any existing barcodes with new ones. If a product or variant doesn’t have a barcode yet, create a new barcode* setting is selected in the *Create barcodes for products* dialog box options. It would definitely be worth reaching out to our Retail support team so we can see if we can establish the root cause and prevent this from happening again. We have been using this app for over 4 years and it has worked well for us. However, in the last month it has given us so many glitches. Shopify support can't help on this one. I've spent hours on this! It's randomly reassigning barcodes to products so when we scan an item at checkout it doesn't recognize it. Manufacture barcodes that we added so we could just scan the product aren't recognized anymore. we are having to manually lookup items at checkout or just redo barcodes on 100's of items. We are a small business and don't have time for this. Hopefully this will resolve itself soon because overall it's a great app.

when new stock arrives, would it be possible to directly show which products still need to have labels printed? This is a functionality which we are missing...

it works in the admin to print labels but it would be great if it was available on the pos app as a tile

While it is possible to print barcode labels from the admin using the Retail Barcode Label app in a browser window on your POS device, I can see that having the ability to print directly from the POS app would be helpful, as you wouldn't need to switch between interfaces. Very glitchy. When adding products it keeps previous printed products in gthe cue so you will have to restart app or manually go to each and set print to 0 so as to not duplicate barcode printing

When pulling up the product view to select the products you wish to print labels for, it should pull up a list of all your available products to do so, rather than pulling up products previously printed.
