Running SmoothieDog out of Bulgaria, we needed a chatbot that could actually hold a conversation in Bulgarian — and Zipchat just works. It trained itself on our flavors, ingredients, and shipping policies, recovers carts on autopilot, and handles the everyday "is this OK for a sensitive stomach?" questions without us touching the inbox. ZipChat AI is one of the more impressive AI Chatbots on the the market! Setup was incredibly fast with a guided walk through and no coding required. The AI immediately learned our product catalog and handles customer questions in a way that actually sounds human, guiding shoppers right to checkout. What sets ZipChat apart is that it doesn't just answer questions — it sells. It proactively engages visitors, recovers abandoned carts, and recommends the right products based on browsing behavior. Conversions have noticeably improved since going live. The support team is amazing. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our store's success. If you're running an ecommerce store and not using ZipChat yet, you're leaving money on the table. Highly recommend!

Zipchat is a fantastic solution for ecommerce operators. The interface is clean and easy to use, especially when compared to other alternatives in the App Store. The support documentation is strong and ready to be integrated into other LLM solutions to create your prompt and teach you how to use the app. If you take the time to learn how to set up everything and write and tweak the prompts for the AI chatbot to use, it becomes an invaluable asset to your business and to your tech stack. You just need to be careful when creating the prompts so the chatbot does not waste AI replies that are left unanswered and that consume your monthly quota of AI replies. Highly recommended and a no-brainer for any Shopify store, in my opinion.

Zipchat is user friendly, easy to understand and simple to implement. We were live with 3 brands in less then a day. Up to speed: They add new features that are actually useful quite often. It's really worth to check the changelogs. I definitely recommend it Zipchat!

We tested Zipchat extensively, had a video call with support, set everything up according to the help section, and tried to optimize it over time. In summary, Zipchat probably works very well with mainstream shops, but less well with niche shops like ours. In fact, we lose potential customers every day who are “put off” by the AI's responses. Despite extensive subsequent response corrections as specified by the app, we were never able to stop this. We had the impression that these corrections were simply not taken into account. According to support, instructions must be accommodated in the very limited text field, which—according to support—is possible, but we were unable to do so in a way that allowed the AI to advise properly. The random suggestion of products is a lottery game, not a targeted action, so even when potential customers specifically ask for products for men, they are given random suggestions – so far, nothing specifically for them, even though it is explicitly stated in the product descriptions. Support kindly offered to put together customized instructions for us, which we unfortunately never received. We have therefore paused the chat in order to avoid losing more customers. We will cancel before the next renewal unless there is an update that significantly improves the situation. Update, one month later: So far, I’ve only received empty promises. I canceled the app so I wouldn’t have to pay the monthly fee again for nothing. Too bad, because the app sounded promising.

The custom instructions you were offered and never received should have reached you. That's on us, and we understand why the empty promises eroded your trust. Your feedback on product suggestions and the limits of the instructions field is genuinely valuable, and we'd like the chance to act on it properly. If you're open to it, reach out to us directly and we'll escalate your case to senior product and success team members, no generic responses, no handoffs that go nowhere. Even if you've already canceled, we'd value the opportunity to better understand your niche use case and show you what we've improved. Either way, thank you for giving Zipchat a real, thorough try. That you wanted it to work comes through clearly, and we're sorry we didn't meet you there.
