Utterly useless .. the old FB app that worked seamlessly was replaced with this one .. and wont connect .. WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A FB STORE FOR OVER 4 MONTHS NOW .. Shopify ticket ID is 20655893 .. DO NOT install this app it will disconnect your working app and cause NONE of your tagged FB products & links to work .. ZERO STARS .. Shopify's reposne is to contact Facebook however the MOST ironic thing is that the No1 platform on the planet for "Connecting People" are simply impossible to connect with themselves .. !!!

I know our Technical was working with the Facebook development team diligently to get the error you were you encountering resolved and has confirmed the issue lies within Facebook's platform. The app is giving us a temporary error on Facebook when trying to setup checkout on Facebook & Instagram. Facebook support tells us that the bank is not supported. We tried Chase, Wells Fargo and BB&T for payments and all are giving the same temporary error since January. Facebook support is useless and we were told by Shopify support to contact Facebook! Here is the error on the last screen: "A temporary problem occurred when trying to complete your request. Please try again later." This is not acceptable.

Every time I update anything on my shopify it appears on my customers news feeds which is very intrusive. It has caused me to loose a lot of followers. Absolutely ridiculous.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback! That definitely sounds frustrating and not ideal. In that regard, we have had a few merchants experience the same issue. The issue that you've described is coming from a setting within your Facebook notifications and not from our app directly. We aren't able to control how Facebook displays your product updates however, we did some digging on our end and the way you would turn off these notifications is to go to your Business Page Settings > Page Updates > click on Edit > and turn off post notifications so that they don't automatically update every change. This should turn off the automatic posts. Thank you! - Anna, Shopify Support

I tried to connect Facebook sales channel with my Shopify store and it did not connect. There was a message error after completing the installation saying "There was a problem processing this action. Please refresh the page". After changing many emails during 2 weeks with Shopify support team and speaking with 5 team members, I received an email from Shopify saying that they can't solve this issue because it is from Facebook and they will close my ticket ID. I am disappointed by the support I received. The error appeared on Shopify platform, Shopify should help fixing errors on their platform.

I keep trying to add it and then a few days later ir disappears. not sure what the problem is but I can't get my Facebook commerce going. and it keeps saying its not supported? that is just odd if its a Facebook app

This used to work well but due to some recent updates, I'm no longer able to connect my Facebook brand account as well as Instagram and I lost all the synced products on my Facebook shop. I contacted the support team and got the explanation that Facebook/Instagram shopping aren't available in my country which in fact they are!

DO NOT INSTALL! Your facebook page followers will get over-run with product spamming ever time a new product is added. Currently there is no way to turn off the new product notifications. Our facebook page has lost over a hundred+ followers in the last two days. *** Shopify Replied *** Shopify replied to my review but the suggested fix action does not work. I can not turn off ALL notifications because I still need posts to be seen by my customers. I just need to turn off New Product notifications which is currently IMPOSSIBLE in FACEBOOK.

Thanks for sharing your feedback! I definitely understand your frustration with this. That being said, the issue that you've described stems from a setting within your Facebook notifications. Meaning, this occurs entirely on Facebook without any relationship to our app. The way you would solve this is to go to your Business Page Settings > Page Updates > click on Edit > and turn off post notifications so that they don't automatically update every change. Terrible app - I was JUST told by Shopify support that it DOES NOT support Variants. What's the point of the app then if someone can't choose a size or color of a Product when they're shopping in a social channel.

However, in order to meet Facebook's data feed requirements, your product catalogue takes a single product with X amount of variants, and breaks it down into individual product listings to meet Facebook standards. To advertise that FB links easily & seamlessly to Shopify is misleading and false. For some users, perhaps it does, but if you’re one of the denied...I can almost guarantee you will be as disappointed as me. My shop (selling painted furniture) hasn't been published bc apparently it doesn't comply with FB Commerce eligibility requirements. Like other reviewers, the specific non-compliance requirements aren’t highlighted, you just get a link to ALL of them. Undoubtedly the reply to this feedback will be that “this situation is entirely controlled by FB and out of Shopify’s hands”. If that’s the case, how does Shopify not have a direct line to FB for their customers for issues like these? This is not a unique problem (read all the 1 star reviews). 4 unanswered support requests from 18 Jan onward, 7 different forums and nearly 2 hours on Shopify chat and still no fix. Though I did get some advice from Shopify chat...and I quote “There are also other forms of social media advertising that you can look at as well. There is Pinterest, TikTok and Snapchat. I can definitely see your furniture on Pinterest : ) it suits that demographic. And if you can make some cool videos with TikTok, who knows! Maybe you can find success outside of Facebook” I’m speechless.

I understand you are wanting Shopify to help further along the review process with Facebook and although we would love to be able to help, we do not have a direct line to Facebook support at this time. Please do keep in mind that Facebook is a third party platform and, as such, they do not share with us the reasons why a commerce account was not approved. From our end we can only see what is not working, but Facebook does not tell us why it is not working. Hence, this why Facebook Support are the only ones capable of giving you a precise answer and reviewing your account. Merchant feedback is very important to us, so rest assured I will be sharing your review with our developers to see if this would be possible in the future. The worse when it comes to doing business. I do not plan to do business with Facebook ever again. My items were being rejected after being reviewed as not following guidelines or policy when my business complies and is only skincare. No medical or device, personal attributes or whatever other reason I have been denied.I’m over all done with Facebook. Not a fan or supporter anymore.

After months of trying to connect I'm still unable to connect the new facebook channel. Tried everything that people recommend on the internet but nothing works. Facebook Shop and instagram connection worked perfect before. Some changes need to be made soon or I will switch to Lightspeed, like many others did with this issue. We are losing so much sales because of this issue. Also both the support from Shopify and Facebook are below standard, both pointing at each other and uncapable to find a solution. They even told me technical support will contact me, but haven't got any response for a week now

Commerce Account got disabled after switching to this new channel. After 3 months and following many service agents suggestions, there is still no solution or hear back from FB. We are not even allow to appeal the wrong decision. All they can say is "we are still investigating to get to the bottom of the issue. Rest assured that the whole team is doing its best to arrive with conclusive findings and resolution". And this is almost a month, I doubt they are doing anything.

This app is junk. Slow to load, glitchy, doesn't allow me to easily update our newest items and I only realized this when we started running ads and wondering why we had all these products being advertised that we didn't even sell.

Since switching over from the old facebook shops app to this one, my shop has now been removed and I have no reason why and have been trying for months to see what I am doing wrong. I emailed shopify support and they said it is facebook's fault. No one from facebook to contact though. I was running ads before and now cannot. Big thumbs down from me ... this is our business and random crap like this affects our income. Not happy to say the least.

Since I updated the old version literally NOTHING is working anymore, or at least I am not understanding how to everything is working. Not that I ever used Fb too much. Everything is messy, I never liked it for my business and decided to never use it. I just use Fb in order to have access to my business account on Instagram and their product tagging. Anyway, I had to update the old Fb Shop app with the new one, and since then the Shopify Product Catalog is not updating the new items I am uploading on my website. And what is even weirder is that the bulk editor in the Fb app of Shopify shows instead all the new products I am currently uploading. It's been 4 days now. I went through every forum on the internet about the topic, and sorted out nothing. Frustrating to say the least. I cannot post any of the new products on Instagram cause there's no way of tagging them. I honestly cannot believe they still don't have a customer service dedicated to business accounts at Facebook and they just let us go browsing the internet hoping to find something to sort everything out.

Instagram works :/ facebook doesn't and I cant find a solution to my problem anywhere - it says my page hasn't been approved due to their criteria however I have gone over that a million times and trying to request a review however there is nowhere to request this review it isn't showing any products all of the links say that all is ok I have verified EVERYTHING I have emailed for help I have spent HOURS on this - HELP!!
