Email notifications for every damn message sent! What a pain in the rear. HOW DO I SHUT THIS CRAP OFF?

I'm happy to let you know that you can control your notification settings within your Shopify Inbox App. Check out these steps: 1.) Login to your Shopify Admin. 2.) Access the 'Shopify Inbox' app from your admin. 3.) On the left hand menu, click the 'notification' menu item that appears underneath 'Inbox.' 5.) Scroll down to the 'Notification Triggers' section and un-check the email notification boxes. This should lead to a reduction in those annoying email notifications for you. -Imogen, Shopify Support

Love Shopify Inbox... it's a great way to stay connected to my customers by being able t quickly reply to messages, suggest products and issue special discunts.

This is WAY better than I thought it would be; it's on par with a full-feature chat app for what it does--the chat is great, and the limited feature set is also very helpful. Unlike paid chat apps, though, this does not tie in with a knowledge base or create tickets. But I don't use those much, so this is working great for me. One thing--I don't have any shipping, so I wish I could rephrase the option to 'track my order'.

Very disappointing: I installed this app after Shopify notified me that they no longer supported my previous (shopify supported) app for chats. But this app only functions in one language, hopeless for all those gazillions of websites that are multi-language. My translation app (previously recommended by Shopify) cannot intervene as Shopify Inbox is a widget that seems to be loaded onto the page via an iFrame, meaning that the content is stored somewhere else and just loaded in. Sadly, Langify cannot access this type of content. Shopify's answer is to recommend 6 other translations apps. Perhaps they'd like to pay for someone to do the back office work necessary to load up all the translations again!

The immediacy for the customer is helpful, even if they receive an email reply later. It's also useful to be able to provide instant answer for the most common couple of questions. It has definitely helped us engage, keep and convert customers and inquiries into sales.

Is there a way to link the chat so that it goes directly to your text messages in your phone. I know it pops up on my phone but the tone is difficult to hear.

At this time, there is no way to directly link your number to Inbox to receive messages via SMS, but that's a really fantastic idea! [ Update: Rating this app from 3 to 4 stars. The Shopify Inbox team actually listened to my feedback, enabled customers to upload images, and fixed the integration page on their app. Thanks for that. However, I discovered a few more issues: 1. I integrated Shopify Inbox with Instagram, and when a customer chats from Instagram, it doesn’t show the customer’s name or username but instead shows, "Shop Visitor xxx." So we would need to go back to Instagram to check on the customer’s name or username, which is a hassle. It would be fantastic if you could display the customer's name or username, similar to how Facebook Messenger does. 2. I like the fact that this chat is visible on the checkout page as a button under the Total line, and when the chat button is clicked, the chat box is opened, but the color no longer corresponds to the theme’s chosen color. It appears to be black. It would also be great if this was fixed to correspond to the chosen color. ] __ [ Switched from tawkto for ease of sharing products directly from the chat itself and so that customers could track their orders directly from the chat. However, it would be better if customers are able to share images instead of having it sent through other means especially if they receive wrong or damaged goods or if they’re having issues on the website where they would need to share screenshots etc. Not having this feature would create additional hassle to the customer to email or WhatsApp us the issue. Also, there is a bug when the customer gets disconnected while chatting and when the customer resumes the chat, Shopify Inbox still marks them as ‘Customer is offline. Your reply will be emailed.’ Another bug is that the integrations are not working. The integrations page is just blank when clicked. Nothing happens. Will update this review if the customer upload image feature is introduced and if the bugs are fixed. ]

to talk to customers and i love it, wold love to hear sound though to make it easy for me to know when i get the messages
