We legit love the Bold Upsell app! It has helped bring awareness to our handmade line of accessories that are available for our cast iron skillets, and have see a 30% increase in accessory product sales simply because people are actually seeing the products now. The pop up helps people add value to their purchases, and is a beautifully clean, easy to customize app that is not aggressive or intrusive feeling. People can learn about add-ons for that purchase or for down the road, or simply opt out by clicking the "No Thanks!" button just before checkout. So- thanks for making something so great! And keep up the good work!

Glitchy, not mobile friendly, slow backend interface, reporting does not work, and not accessible! Relayed my accessibility compliance concerns to no avail.

BE VERY careful downloading this app. We used it for a few days and decided to uninstall it. For the next two weeks our sales dipped significantly. Our Landing page views to link clicks went from 80% ratio to 50% ratio. Finally found this out today and realized it was a bunch of rogue code left over by Bold. Page speed went from 90 to 50. In the process of trying to uninstall all of it following their "tutorial" right now and half of the code I need to delete I cannot even find. The app works great when it's installed, but be really careful.

While Upsell does require some code to function, it should not have a significant impact on your store load speed. The app works, but when you delete it, the drama starts. Some time ago I deleted the app and now I wanted to remove the code of our theme. Unfortunately, it's not that easy. I never had such difficulties to remove an app before. When removing the code, errors occur that cause the storefront to crash. I have integrated, removed code and edited many different apps but have never had such problems. I contacted support and they advised me to open a ticket. In the Bold Helpcenter all you can find in the chat box is their "Get Started" function, which doesn't help anyone with a problem after a bit of searching you will find where to open a ticket. Very disappointed that I also paid money for something like this. They make customer acquisition easy but everything else as cumbersome as possible.

Loved this app before it was managed by a new company to my understanding as it does not work with products that have options now, it only shows "Add to Cart" buttons when we need "View Product" buttons as we had before. No one notified us that "Add to Cart" buttons would be put back into our pop ups so we have a ton of orders with no options selected by the customers and we are having to email customers one by one who aren't happy. Tried to ask support for help to no avail. It states features "Design & language customization" but yet no one can help us change the "Add to Cart" buttons back to "View Product" buttons like we had before Bold sold this app to a different company? Really sad as we used to love this app but no one has helped us fix this issue and they simply stopped communicating. Had to delete and find a different app. UPDATE: After multiple emails back and forth with very vague replies, my developer was able to figure out with the assistance of the app how to edit the "Add to Cart" buttons to be "View Product" so I have adjusted my review since we were finally able to get this fixed from 1 star to 4.

We sincerely apologize for the issues you’ve experienced when the integration did not work as expected. Your feedback is valuable to us, and will help us to do better in the future. While you can customize the design using CSS and HTML, the customization you required needed a bit more complex adjustment using other programming languages.
