App not user friendly.....customers don't understand how to use app. Navigating dashboard very difficult. Trying to get help from support and have no response for 5 days now.....looking for another referral app option

had this app for less than 24 hours and have 23 random affiliates. They are automatically accepted and its very obvious that they are scam accounts because of their suspicious looking names. Customer support sucks, they take forever to give you an answer. Too bad as it looked promising when I was setting up the account but this app has major privacy and security issues. I also ready loads of reviews of affiliates not getting paid and that is not something good for the reputation of our website.

Customer support has been ghosting us for almost two weeks, and a major issue remains unresolved, severely impacting our relationship with our top partners. There is a problem with royalty commissions, where commissions are being triggered on the entire order instead of just the royalty commission item. After multiple emails to support and several unsuccessful attempts to resolve this, we have suddenly been ghosted. We are completely in the dark about the status. This is very disappointing and is impacting our business badly.

I have had an ongoing issue where a new affiliate's referral link is showing up in the banner at the top of each page on my boutique. This is a new affiliate and since she joined us this has been happening. I have repeatedly asked for assistance in getting this resolved and let them know that I entered my boutique via the back office / admin area of my boutique yet they continue to say that I clicked on her link when that was not the case. I wasnt even in goaffpro. The support you get when trying to resolve an issue is horrible. They dont even read your messages. They have just continued to say that I used her link when that was not the case. There is an error somehow with the app that they refuse to resolve. I have been asking for help with this for 2 MONTHS and it is still not resolved. Im about to remove the app and go to one where you can get the support you pay for! This has been a nightmare!

Hi This is because you activated the shopping with toolbar in your program which shows the affiliate whose cookies are present in your browser. Since you had clicked the affiliate's link, the referral cookie is present in your browser which shows the toolbar. Our support had also informed you about the same thing. The resolution as replied by the support rep was also simple. You can either Turn off the shopping with toolbar function (Look & Feel -> Toolbars tab ) OR clear the affiliate referral cookie in your browser which removes the shopping with toolbar. You can clearly test this as the toolbar will only appear in the browser which has the referral cookie (so try with a mobile browser ?) Hope this information helps

I am completely outraged with the customer service at Goaffpro. I've been stuck with a problem for 24 hours, and the only thing they can think of is to send me an email instructing me to repeat an action that doesn't work. Even so, I have followed their instructions, returning to the app and trying again, but nothing changes. The situation remains the same. The lack of interest and professionalism from their customer support team is unacceptable. There is no excuse for this level of negligence and lack of support. I am furious and still waiting for a real solution

Without a doubt this is the most complicated app I think we have to use every month. The app provides enough information to sink a ship and yet cannot simply supply a PAY NOW button for each affiliate, it is extremely frustrating

Unless you get Rohan, Greg or Paul to assist you, then unfortuatly all you will get is sent endless articles of how to supposidly fix things that are not working!!! No real customer services, in fact i have been told by one advisor on the live chat whilst trying to help with a issue " we dont have the fuction to assist with issues". What is the purpose of a live chat if it can't help you with issues? I would do your research, check the dates of reviews on this app and others before making a decision on an affiliate app, we are currently looking for alternatives.

we have been a loyal customer of Goaffpro for the past three years and have relied on their service to manage our affiliate program. However, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. Over the last three months, we decided to make the transition to the GoKwik custom checkout system, believing it would improve our user experience. Unfortunately, for the past 20 days, we've been encountering persistent issues that have hindered our operations. What's even more frustrating is Goaffpro's response to the problem. They claim that the issues we're experiencing are solely due to the custom checkout system, but I strongly disagree with this assessment. I have conducted a thorough analysis of our setup, meticulously testing different scenarios, and it is evident that the problem lies within Goaffpro's platform, not the custom checkout. It is deeply frustrating that they have swiftly shifted the blame to the custom checkout without conducting a thorough investigation. Our frustration has been exacerbated by their reluctance to investigate the matter further. As loyal customers with a long-standing relationship spanning three years, I expected Goaffpro to take a more proactive approach to address this issue. Instead, we've encountered resistance and a lack of willingness to explore potential problems originating from their end. This approach is far from the customer-centric service we had come to expect from Goaffpro. In conclusion, my recent experience with Goaffpro has been disheartening. While the service has been reliable and efficient for years, their handling of the recent issues related to the custom checkout has left us frustrated and dissatisfied. We urge Goaffpro to reconsider their position on this matter and commit to a comprehensive investigation into the issues their customers are facing. It's time for them to restore the trust of loyal customers like us by addressing the issues promptly and effectively.

Hi So the app was works fine with shopify chekout but not with gokwik checkout. In such a case, Logic dictates, then the issue is with gokwik checkout not with goaffpro. Over 40,000 merchants use the app with no issues whatsoever because the goaffpro app is fully vetted, thoroughly reviewed and regularly re-reviewed by shopify App Store team to ensure everything works as intended Gokwik is not a shopify approved app. You can ask gokwik team why they are not in Shopify App Store. Apps on the App Store are thoroughly reviewed by shopify for their compatibility to ensure smooth experience for merchants Unapproved and unauthorised apps not only violate shopify merchant terms but also breaks compatibility with other apps. Our support team also mentioned the same to you that custom unapproved checkouts cannot be reliably supported as they don’t follow shopify best practises Just ask yourselves, why is gokwik checkout not in Shopify App Store ? And you’ll have the answer as where the real issue is

Unfortunately, the app can no longer be opened recently. In the corresponding area, "Just a moment" (or something similar) flashes very briefly, then the screen goes white. Thus, GOAFFPRO must unfortunately be removed from our store again.

We never even got any communication / email from you regarding the "issue" that you are facing. I am not sure how else we can help. Don't ever install this app. they keep your store connected after you uninstall it and generating codes on the web.

Hi Uninstalling the app automatically invalidates the codes. You don’t need to do anything else. Once you uninstall, all affiliate discount codes become invalid and your program is turned off automatically

This app is a scam artists dream, we have had a successful 3,000 affiliates sign up, zero actual customers have made any sales, all the affiliates signing up are using some type of coupon code advertising on coupon sites, which is prohibited in the terms and conditions. I do not think it is GO AFF PROS goal, but it is a tool for scammers to profit off.

Hi Spencer As you have rightly said, this is certainly not our goal and we have many options which you can set 1. Collect more information from affiliates when they are signing up. You can add additional fields in the signup page (like Instagram handle, website, Facebook page etc.) in your signup page. Now the affiliates signing up on your program would be required to fill up that information from where you can verify the identity of the affiliate 2. Once verified you can Approve only the accounts that you want to work with 3. You can also choose to not give a coupon code to affiliates and have the discount (if you want to give your affiliates customers a discount) apply on their link. So the affiliates don’t have a code to but they are required to send you customers via their link in order for their customers to get a discount 4. You can also turn off the marketplace option. That will delist your program from different affiliate directories across the internet and make it more private. 5. You can also choose which conversion modes are active. I.e disable coupon code based tracking and only have referral link based tracking active etc. In the end, goaffpro, like shopify is a tool. Update on 8/31 2023 The customer support Melanie is very unhelpful and the way they talk to us seems they are the boss and can ask you to do anything! Their report is very inconvenient, they cannot allow you to do a custom report that contains all the data, which is completely understandable because nothing is perfect! But their attitude to this really upset me, Melanie said it is a good suggestion to improve their app, but it is not their responsibility to send this to their tech and asked me to write an email to them again about this! I mean????? No matter if you will take my suggestion to improve, but I already told you this, and you are not communicating or submitting this inside your teamwork? If that's the case, let me know, I will make my business somewhere else!

I downloaded the app and got stuck on the settings. Was asked to write my company URL for the affiliate platform and I did that, " https://ooomanna-com.goaffpro.com", this was provided to me after downloading. But it was not recognized so tried many variations,all of them denied. I immediately sent message requesting support, this was 4 days ago, there's no response to these day. I have seen lots of complaints on customer service but I didn't expect it to be this worse. I appreciate you developing very useful app and offering it for free, but what's the use downloading if it not applicable. I need some body to help me with the setup otherwise I have to look elsewhere. Thank you ooomanna

If you want to change it, you can use Look & Feel -> Store profile tab -> Affiliate portal URL section. I used this app to start my affiliate marketing and while the core functions work OK, there is a bug with creating influencer seeding orders for my affiliates where the address doesn't get populated into the Shopfiy order. This means that I need to go in and manually populate the order address fields in Shopify. Because it's bugged, these orders are completely missing from GoAffPro and you can't make changes to it from Shopify either. Contacted their support about this 3 months ago and at first, the replies were quite responsive but they have chosen to completely ignore my emails completely and still have not fixed the issue. Will be switching to another product and I advise others to find a product support that actually fixes major bugs instead of just going for the low hanging fruit.

Hi Harri Thank you for your candid feedback. As stated earlier you will need to have correct shipping address in the affiliate's account for the full order to get created via Influencer seeding. But even without that the orders once created can be edited directly in Shopify backoffice to correct their shipping address See here for more clarity https://i.imgur.com/OFJMrH2.jpg For eg. in your test account we corrected the postal code and the full order was created. But even before that, the orders were getting created in Shopify. Note: The orders created via Influencer seeding have the same order number sequence as your store like #1119, #1120 etc. So if you find the influencer seeding orders missing in Shopify orders page, that is perhaps a question for Shopify. The orders do appear in the Shopify API (I have personally confirmed this in their API) Please do try out with a few test accounts and ensure that they have correct addresses and you'll see the orders getting created at both places. Shopify API will not accept orders without correct shipping address, and unfortunately, there is nothing us or anyone can do about that. Currently there is no way to by pass that restriction. WARNING!! This app will cause you a headache. The app registers and allocates previous and non-affiliate sales to affilliates before they have even signed up! Then it is your problem to get in touch with the affiliate to inform them about this issue and to tell them that the sale was not made by their referral links and that it instead a cookie related issue from the app. Customer service answered very fast, but not really an enjoyable experience I'd say. Clear instructions on cookies and other tech related warnings should be mentioned up front!

Hi Aleandro As clarified by the support email, this attribution was done by the admin having the affiliate's referral cookie in their browser. That is how every system does referral sale attribution. By clicking on the referral links of the affiliate, your browser was "tagged" with their referral cookie for sale attribution and that is exactly how the attribution works for regular customers too. I.e. customers click on the link -> referral cookies are set -> when they complete the purchase -> the sale attribution is done. We can disable the admins from getting referral cookies set BUT that again prevents them from testing the system at will. So it is kind of like catch-22 situation for everyone. So we have built some capabilities in the app The system also gives you the ability to clear the browser cookies via noref links like https://shop.thesenseofdoubt.com/?ref=noref , will clear all referral cookies and/or you can easily manage the sales via the Sales page. Finally, you can also set a shorter Cookie Duration for auto-expiration of cookies or perhaps just a simple "Remove tracking after order" toggle (which can be enabled in the Settings -> General Settings tab) The app does explain this in the setup wizard when you set the app. Maybe we can add a feature to allow the users re-run the setup wizard to learn the referral system Hope this misunderstanding does not sour our long term relationship. I figured this app would be great to use for affiliate marketing and getting people to my store and buying. The problem started when I had my first referral and now I can't payout the person, the app itself shows all of these options to pay the affiliates, but only paypal is an option? Really? I tried to integrate it with paypal but nothing. I do not recommend this app and I will be uninstalling. I also wanted to point out there really was no guide in this app to help new users and I didn't know I had not set up a way to pay the affiliates.

Hi Nick You were unable to payout as there was insufficient balance in your PayPal account. The same was reflected in the PayPal payment history page. You need to fund your paypal account with the payout amount + 0.25c (the paypal transaction fees) for the payout to succeed. Hey Please see if you had the marketplace option activated in the app (see marketplace option in the app sidebar). If you had activated it during the setup process, your program is listed on various affiliate marketplaces across the web, from where the affiliates can discover and join the program Most likely you have received affiliate sign-ups from those directories In any case, simply turning off the marketplace option delists the program and you can run your affiliate program privately To note: Marketplace listing is an opt-in feature provided as a convenience to the merchants to quickly list their programs for traction. Are you for real @Round21 ?? You installed the app on 28th January 2021. This was an explicit action. Apps just don't get installed on any store. There is "locking" in the app, you can access the app from Shopify Admin panel -> Apps page. Then you had explicitly set the app to automatically generate 15% discount codes for the affiliates. You had a few signups where the affiliates got the discount codes as set by you. The affiliates then sent you customers, the customers used the discount code to make the purchase. Of course this is what was supposed to happen. Once you removed the app, the discount codes were invalidated and no longer can be used. In any case, if you don't want the customers sent by the affiliates, just cancel those orders. Not only you are not paying the affiliates their earned commissions, it is unbelievable that you are angry because you got the sales. Wow!

I do not trust this app. I sell exclusively in Germany and strangely enough the affiliate members are Chinese names that seem to have generated any sales in Germany.
