This app would be a world more useful if you can change the ringtone as the current one is extremely difficult to hear if the phone is in its usual place... my pocket!!!

It is possible for iOS users to set availability hours with a custom message for customers chatting in outside of your availability. Here is a link to the help set that up: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/ping/setup#set-your-chat-availability. The automated order-look up feature is currently not customizable. If a customer does have an order number, it is an easy way for them to look that order up without having to wait while also freeing up your time to work on other areas of your business. This feature can easily be ignored by the customer by simply chatting into the box without the order number. The app could be more intuitive, I am having to use it since it will now have to replace KIT. WHICH SUCKS!! But overall it's okay.

However, since you are based in an SMS supported region for Kit, you can continue to use the app until August 31. 2021. Having an in-store chat option definitely increases customer engagement, and we have had a few extra customers purchase due to the chat, which might not have otherwise. It'd be great if the app had the option to add/edit hours of availability for the chat, so folks don't just sit around wondering when they'll get a response, but for what it is, it does its job well.

Shopify Ping does offer availability hours, which is set up in the Ping app. Availability hours let the customers know that you are away, but it does not prevent customers from chatting in. Its a beloved feature for our customers. If only the app would support notification for multiple stores - that is so important for us and I guess many other multiple store owners.

We have received similar feedback that merchants would like to use Shopify Ping on multiple stores. Although this is not a feature that is currently available (our developers are looking into this), I do have a work around. Please provide the option to start minimized instead of just popping up. This could be experienced a bit too pushy for the visitor and have a negative impact.

I really wanted to like this app. Integration with Apple Messages works well, it looks good and everything is centralised on Ping. Plus it’s free. However, just turning this app on instantly kills my pagespeed score! It’s loading webfonts, google captchas, jquery and a bunch of other stuff. Plus I have no control over it. There should be an option to manually insert chat onto the theme, so I could get some control on how it’s loaded. Or options to disable chat on mobile version (it’s where it’s most noticeable the performance hit). Or please do anything really about performance, I want to use this app and chat service but as it is it’s simple impossible.

I love this app. It's great that I can chat using the app and my customers receive messages as texts once they are offline. I would give this 5 stars if I could change the prompts. "Check order status" is not relevant to my customers and confuses them. Pls change the coding to allow shop owners to add different conversation starters.

I would give it 5 stars but for the fact, if a person leaves an email you cant copy and paste it into the email from the top of the app. If a person types their email into the conversation then pressing this does in fact open the email app so you can email. It's a little annoying.
