We've only just integrated and it seems to be working fine. Our only gripe is that we have to have our newsletter signups going to the same list as the checkout signups and this means delivering a discount to page subscribers delivers to the ones who have just bought and opted in at checkout. Not great! Ideally we'd like better control over the checkout vs on-site signups with 2 list at least. This is an improvement we'd like to see soon.

So far the transition has been smooth and reliable. Thank you for giving us the ability to keep our contacts from MailChimp.

Smooth and easy transition. No issues. Glad I'm still able to use Mailchimp after all. Thank you ShopSync. Haven't been able to test all features yet except for Mailchimp integration and Discount Code sync which is why I only rated 4 stars but pretty sure I'll be giving it 5 stars once I have had a chance :-)
Most welcome! Anything we can do on our end to update the rating to be 5 stars? Let us know at [email protected], happy to help anytime.

Was quick and easy to set up the integration following the instructions on MailChimp. I thought I would have to do more ensuring that existing thank you emails and pop-ups would work but they all transferred over smoothly

ShopSync makes it easy to sync my Shopify store to MailChimp. Switched to ShopSync after Shopify and MailChimp had a falling out. The ShopSync support team is always responsive to requests and a joy to work with.

Switched to Shopsync after the fall-out between Mailchimp & Shopify. Set-up was very simple and all seems to be working as it should. Worth looking at the article on Mailchimp giving instructions on transferring from their own app to ShopSync which is very helpful.

Installed this app based on the Mailchimp instructions and I have to say it works very well. The dashboard actually provides a bit more info than the previous Shopify app and the integration is doing what it says it should. Thank you for providing a neat solution to the MailChimp / Shopify issue.

This was our solution to the Shopify/MailChimp split. Our developer said it transferred our entire email list of about 30k addresses without issue, and seems to be working as advertised, gathering new emails on our website and transferring over to MailChimp. I love it when things are just simple, and work as advertised. Can't ask for more!

This app worked very easily and quickly. I have only had it for a few days but so far, so good. I love that all my store customers are now automatically in MailChimp for email marketing. This app has been awesome so far.

I needed this fast service for a MailChimp workaround. ShopSync was fast, easy, and now I'm ready to move forward. No problems AT ALL!

Easy to install, works great, I am very pleased! Glad Mailchimp suggested your app. Love the look of the pop-up window encouraging people to sign up for my mailing list.

This app worked for me as the new Mailchimp integration however, my audience count doubled on the day I installed it. There are no duplicate contacts but the counts are doubled and the analytics for install day show a doubling. What's going on? I hope my audience isn't being hit with double emails. Can someone from support respond? Additionally, can't find a way to communicate with ShopSync support. I appreciate the explanation of what went wrong. It would be very helpful if you could tell me how to correct the issue.
Hi there, we saw your review and wanted to get in touch. Up until late yesterday (4/3/19), our app was engineered to include past customers who "Accept email marketing", orders, and products in Shopify. If they showed unsubscribed in Shopify, we ignored the email. In other words, we looked at Shopify as the "truth" and nothing else. Although our intentions for this were done for all the right reasons, it, unfortunately, didn't work for everyone as you saw with your subscriber counts going up. With how we used to perform the initial sync, it would have been possible to re-subscribe users if they had opted out from a Mailchimp list previously. Or, it's also possible the old integration missed real subscribers. Now, we've changed up how we handle the data from Shopify to Mailchimp on the initial sync. Here's more information on how it works: Before any data is processed by ShopSync, we perform integrity checks with Mailchimp to ensure these customers can be sent to the list that is connected. For example, if someone opted out of a list in the past, we won't add the email again. We'll also update Shopify with the correct status that Mailchimp shows. That way, the most current subscriber status in Mailchimp is synced with the store. After the initial sync is complete, we'll continue adding customers, orders, and products from your store to Mailchimp as transactions occur. We'll add customers that visit your store who are deemed transactional as well. That way, you can use Mailchimp's automations to trigger abandoned carts and order notifications. If someone unsubscribes from a Mailchimp campaign or automation in the future, we'll sync the opt-out status back to Shopify and vice versa. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, let us know if you have any follow up questions. We can be reached anytime at [email protected].

This app is working well now for us. At first, it froze when I tried syncing the data, but after a few days and some emails back and front with their support team, we got it working. Email addresses, product blocks etc work great— in fact, the product blocks work better than with the old Mail Chimp app!

I thin this is a best way, how to solve the problem to property connect Mailchimp and shopify. Everything working good. Technical support is very fast. Highly recommended.

Install fails with a 'page not found error'. After confirming install permissions, looks like it wants to redirect to https://storename.myshopify.com/admin/apps/shopsync-2 but fails with a 'page not found' display. EDIT: It looks like the ShopSync app successfully installed, so you can ignore the 'page not found'. Just navigate to Apps > ShopSync > Connect and proceed with step 5 of the MailChimp instructions.
Hi there, thank you for the feedback. After further investigation into this issue, we've found that the app store had an unusual redirect method to our installation page that needed to be corrected. This problem appeared for a small subset of users, but we understand how frustrating this behavior can be if you were one of them. We've worked with Shopify to resolve this problem and it should be fixed now. If you have any other questions about ShopSync, please reach out to our support team at [email protected]. We'll be happy to help.

We decided to use this ¨workarounds¨ as a solution for the shopify disaster. Now past customers who did not opt in are getting our auto welcome message and unsubscribing saying did not sign up. Great for our brand, nice work! Be aware everyone and good luck with email marketing.

If you're concerned that the store subscribers won't match up with Mailchimp, we recommend comparing customers from your store with Mailchimp unsubscribe data. You could then manually unsubscribe customers in Shopify. Another option would be to send out a light email after the sync - maybe something to the effect of "We're updating our customer preferences, click here to opt-out". We're very sorry for any inconvenience.

The install was easy enough. However, I had over 200 new emails show up in my list which in incredibly disconcerting from data management and privacy perspective. Who are these people? Did they opt-in? Why weren't they on my list before? Now I have to cull through the data to figure out the details, which is time consuming and not the best use of my time. Glad for the third-party connection, but only time will tell if all the syncing happens seamlessly or not.

I had an issue downloading it at first, but Shopsync addressed the problem and it seems to work smoothly and easily.
Hi there, we're very sorry to hear you're having issues installing ShopSync. We’ve had other users reporting this problem, and after an initial investigation, our best guess is that it's something related to the browser session inside of the app store. We're still doing some checks and balances on our end to be sure, but the redirects after install look perfect; we're also seeing hundreds of successful installs each hour. Due to recent events, ShopSync has become a popular app, and we're wondering if something may be going on at a low level with DNS or caching inside the app store. We've also reached out to Shopify, and they have asked that we post something in their API forums for further review. We're not sure how long it will take an engineer on their side to look at things. As a workaround, we've heard from several users that ShopSync can be installed by going to the apps listing page in Shopify. Evidently, after the first error appears, it will then appear on the listing page (just not fully installed). From there, you should be able to go through the install process business as usual. Other users have reported that by changing browsers, it resolved the issue as well. If you're open to trying the install again, please feel free to do so. Also, don't hesitate to drop a note to [email protected] if you need further assistance. Update: After further investigation into this issue, we've found that the app store had an unusual redirect method to our installation page that needed to be corrected. I’m trying to download this app and it says page can’t be found. What’s up?? Is this free integration not available anymore? Anyone else experiencing the same issues?
