I have used this app for several years and it worked well and I would have previously given it 4 stars. However I recently upgraded to a 2.0 shopify theme and the app stopped working. The developer was initially quick to respond and managed to get the theme working on chrome - although it was rather glitchy and wasn't a great customer experience at checkout. They couldn't get it to work at all on Safari or on mobile and that was it really! After not hearing from them for a week or so I deleted the app and found one with more features, that works, and is half the price.

I'm VERY sorry about this, it is not at all what we aim for. This seems to be a very peculiar issue with the theme you are on where the ajax mechanism is not carrying the app data to the cart. If you are open to trying the app again, please let me know and I will arrange for our best developers to look into your case ASAP. The free version is pointless... every option I attempted to create wouldn't work and gave me an error message at the very end stating that I could only create ONE variant per option.... WHAT IS THE POINT? Waste of time!

We love the product customizer app. It works perfectly for our store and is at a great price point. Kevon from their customer service department is top notch and has went out of his way on a Saturday to help us with complicated code that was needed for our theme for our website to run properly. Highly recommend this app. Thank you Kevon! You're the best :) Update: We had multiple glitches over and over with this app. We lost hundred of dollars from the app not charging orders as expected. Even after speaking with customer service multiple times in one day, the app still failed. I would use caution adding this app to your store.

Worst shopify app experience ever! So many bugs, poor (no sorry very poor) customer support. Didn't manage to fix simple issues within the first few days. If they went higher up the chain to Kevon he could fix the issues, but then new issues would pop-up instantly. There are much cheaper alternatives available ... I recommend they fix their first line support first..because with these default mails they sent the communication is very poor and often misunderstood. Very frustrating experience! Update 05/10/2021: I got a follow up from Pushpesh to check the things again, based on my bad review. Since I already looked into an alternative I'm not going through with that, but others might. So in all honesty they are responsive, I just wish (especially when on a tight deadline) that this kind of urgency would be earlier in the process and not only after a 1 star review.

I couldn't get their "wizard" to actually work correctly. After going round and round providing the same information multiple times, their support completely stopped corresponding with me. I guess if they thought if they ignored me, the issue would just go away. Terrible experience.
We're very sorry about the experience here and this is definitely not what we'd want you to have with our app. The Wizard is not perfect however it runs seamlessly on over 500 stores since its release with the exception of some themes that were custom/modified. We'd like to work on the issue and walk you through the Wizard via Live Chat or a Web Call as soon as possible. I have emailed you so you can reach out as soon as you're able to. Thanks!

We have been a Product Customizer client/user over 8 years now. Our entire business is based on custom names, addresses, graphics, etc. to laser engrave and embroider on a wide variety of luggage and equipment tags. Two years ago, we gave this app the 5 star review you can read below. However, in the past year we have had multiple issues with the app not processing our customers personalization options. This is a huge issue as it give our customers a negative view of our brand. I have now changed my review to 1 star as I have lost all trust in this app. While the app ultimately starts to work again, the team can not ever tell me what the root cause is for the issue. Today, it happened again. This is unacceptable. MY OLD REVIEW: In those 8 years, we have only had to reach out 3 times, the latest happened this weekend when we updated our store theme to the latest version. The team quickly responded with a solution and stayed in communication the whole time - allowing us to test and publish our update. Highly recommend! Thank you for the many years of great customer support.

After removing the App it's still there on my Theme code causing conflict with the New App that i have install on my shop, have contact the DEV team for solution to Remove Completely their App form my Store. Still waiting their response....

The app claimed to do what I needed, however the software didn't work properly and consistently and their customer service failed to help after repeated requests over a two week period. I will update this review should they decide to remedy this.
Hello to our friends with Heinrichs Jewelry, Sean here, the Customer Success Manager with Product Customizer. I just reviewed the convos and it looks like from May 21 - May 24, we left you hanging. I'm SO sorry about that. Obviously we have some work to do at this point with our support team so that we aren't losing track of these conversations. That is not the way we want to do business, and it wasn't intentional. I will be doing what needs to be done to make sure that doesn't happen to any of our valued clients in the future. That said, I now have our tier 1 developer looking into this for you to try and get to the bottom of it and get it finally resolved. First off, he is doing an inventory "refresh" on your store right now, which will take a few of hours (sometimes up to 12) to complete. Let's see how that does, then re-check later this afternoon. I am in Denver (12:22pm MST my time presently)... so I'll be here. And Ainsley will be here for the next 6-7 hours... and I am back in first thing tomorrow mornings, so doing everything in our power to get this fully fixed for you asap. We would not recommend using Product Customizer if you need to add options that cost the customer extra. The app has a serious glitch that causes those charges to stick around in the cart even after a customer removes the associated product from their cart. The issue has persisted for months, and the developers have been unable to fix the problem. (Communication on the status of the efforts to resolve the glitch was also very spotty, which just made it more frustrating.) We ended up finding another solution -- for us, that was using Shopify's variants feature -- because the app was costing us too much money in lost sales. It was also a nightmare for our customer service team. Hate to leave a bad review as the idea of the app is great, and the conditional logic feature is one we haven't found elsewhere. But ultimately we'd recommend finding a different solution -- Product Customizer just isn't up to our standards.

This app is worth more than 1 star to me (would give it maybe 2-3), but there are some really serious issues. I hope that this review would either work as a wake-up call to the developers, or help other developers create better competing apps. If you're not good with computers and figuring out workarounds to software bugs, do not bother trying to use the conditional logic feature of this app. In short, the app promises conditional logic, but there are a TON of bugs. I've worked with computers my whole life, so I know a bug when I encounter one. And with this app, I experience them all the time. That wouldn't be the end of the world if the developers were responsive, but they've outsourced the support... and the outsourced support can only handle pre-defined cases, not do any research of their own. I've had a lot of questions / bug reports open with them for a month now. They always promise to get back to me, but without dev support, they can't. I would have given up on this app because of these bugs, but as far as I understand, this is the only app that runs only on Shopify servers, and is probably the fastest. The others I tested seemed to be slow and unreliable, so that's a definite bonus with this app. If only it did what it promises, I could give it five stars... but right now the practice is so far off from theory, that I'm definitely not happy. I've been able to get my products configured so they are somewhat usable, but it's come with a lot of workarounds, redesign and just making unnecessary compromises to the customer experience. With the promised conditional logic, it would be totally possible to prevent customers from selecting options that don't work with each other. Because of the constant bugs, I haven't been able to really do this, and have to instruct the customers to check this and that... and if they don't, the products get priced wrong. These kinds of things shouldn't be left up to the customer! The documentation on the conditional logic is very poor, so I'll give some tips for those of you that value the speed of this app over other apps (if I was doing this again, I would forget about the speed requirement). 1. If you have options measured in feet, don't use the ' character in the name. Bugs will result. 2. If you need to duplicate the options, don't do it in the product view. It may create weird issues, so only duplicate in the view that shows options for all products. 3. Don't plan options that depend on two or more other options. The logic only works on very simple options, and if (for example) your pricing depends on two different factors, you're safer not implementing it in the app logic... it may or may not work. 4. Same thing as with #3, but with trying to use the same option on two different conditions, combining with different option... won't work. 5. Undocumented "feature" that made me lose a couple of days: the "hide" option is more or less redundant. The app automatically hides all the options that have "show" setting on. Trying to hide options results in weird bugs. It was not easy to figure this out, and the support was clueless. 6. There's just a long list of lesser bugs, usability issues and generally bad development work. Please look into alternatives. Overall I must say I regret I chose this app. It is not being actively developed, even though it would really need that. I've now created over a hundred options and about 10 products in this app, and changing to a new one feels like too much work... I wish I'd known about these bugs and extremely limited support before choosing this app.

I am taking these items and putting them into our list of improvements that our developers will be looking into in the near future. Shopify store themes are all so varied and unique that it can be a real challenge to develop apps that are truly versatile for the Shopify space. Up until now, we have done several things with every single store that adds our app: -Every time a user adds our app, our team manually verifies and configures their install to make sure it works seamlessly with whatever theme they have -Each time any of our users change their theme, we receive a real-time notification and we take time to manually re-verify their install for their new theme -And of course, anytime there are questions about functionality, support needs, special formatting requests, advice on how to build out products, etc - we take each one seriously and do our very best to resolve any issues and provide any needed help That said, we will look into these concerns and work to turn them into fixes! Again, thanks for your patience and understanding with these items - the app will get better and better! And we would love it if you would change your review to the 2-3 stars you mentioned. I have been using Product Customizer for about 4 years. It started as a great app, but the functionality and customer service have declined significantly. I have had multiple issues with the app in just the last 6 weeks - from color and image swatches not displaying to the more serious issue of none of the product options displaying and customers not being able to place orders on my site. I am very tech-savvy and I find the app cumbersome to use. If you have just one option per product, you should be fine. If you are looking to do anything more complex than that I do not recommend this app at all. It took 5 weeks to get a resolution to the issue of the color swatches not showing. I would contact them weekly for an update and I was repeatedly ignored. Yesterday, the conditional logic stopped working on an entire collection of products. It has been over 24 hours and they have not responded or resolved the issue. I am losing sales and multiple customers have contacted me because they are unable to place an order on my site. Additionally, my site speed has decreased from 46 to 22 because of this app. For an app that costs MORE than Shopify itself, I expect much better performance and service. I would have ditched this app long ago but I have hundreds of products and I do not yet have the time to research and install a new option.

The app is great when it will actually load. I find 9/10 times when trying to open the app it now goes to a blank page and I can't customize any products. Really annoying.

Code screwed up my site by automatically adding extra charges to cart and it took days for them to respond. Never fully fixed the issue or offered an explanation.

It's a really crappy app. I'm not sure what's up with all these good reviews. I never write reviews, but I felt that this was justified. In theory, it sounds great. In practice, it's total junk and their support is horrific. They take 3 to 5 days to respond and they have no sense of urgency. App does not work as it should nor does it do what it claims. Their demo page is sketchy because they're using a custom checkout page. It will not work the same on your shop unless you have Shopify Plus. Even then, you will still have inventory management issues because of the way the options are added. Not going to go into details here, it's nor worth my time. Save yourself the headache, trust me. Ah, and removing was a PIA, it leaves a huge mess behind. Pass.

The app regularly fails and does not charge clients for customized purchases. We have lost nearly $2,000 in sales in the past 5 days due to the app failing to work properly. I wouldn't recommend this app.

Product customizer worked ok. At first I got it to add text boxes to some products and eventually set it up to extend the options I offered in my store. They are usually pretty fast on replying about questions or problems, but when I finally decided to remove it from my store because the integration was messy and confusing to my customers and myself I had a big problem. Before I deleted anything, I asked them if my website would work as it did before the install when I deleted the app. They assured me it would and I went ahead and deleted the app. The next morning I began to get emails from customers telling me there was a problem with the CHECKOUT on my website. I am not sure how much money this problem caused me for the half a day it was unresolved, but it is a lot more than the service they have provided. I sent them an email asking for help and no one got back to me. Is this because now I was a non paying customer? In a last ditch effort, I contacted shopify help and they were able to go in and clean up the mess they did on my site after about 20 or 30 minutes. If you value your business, do not have them modify your website. The integration they do is messy and unappealing.

App was not working properly and I waited 5 days with no reply to emails from support and have had to delete the app. I do not recommend it and have found an easier to use app.
