They would not refund charges, holding on to funds until we simply gave up. Scandalous customer service. The app itself is great but no go for me, as we could not sort this out.

This app is terribly cumbersome and not easy to use. Without support you are lost. They're all trying, but they made my shop unusable for 24 hours. Never again. I was fooled by the previous reviews.

For your last request as checkout page was not translated properly, it's because your checkout link has been set at default by theme, so it still keeps in German and we have to add the dynamic link for them to translate properly. We are exasperated with this app. Always rising prices and its not working at all! We always find problems and mistakes The last mistake is that a banner and translations in the home were never updated and now we have to update our price plan if we want to get this fixed. Crazy, we are changing to langify

Update: After two weeks of live testing. Visitors droped 45%.... Sales droped over 50%. Some users from germany get the english version displayed and canceled the order. I have deleted the app. Old Rating: Easy Interface, Good Design and a smooth auto translation. You can also add manual translation after. Perfect & a very helpful team which guides you thru all the setup. Thank you.

If you're tired of your Shopify website This is the best App to ruin it, they'll be super quick at the beginning to support and get their messy application set up on your website and add the switcher and they'll ask for your rating and review right after installation and you've no idea what a mess they did in your website theme, after that everything will stop working and non of these ppl will even get back to you.

more than 3 months trying the app. I tried everything. I set up languages manually. more than 2 days working on it. And suddenly one day the app changed everything, and the website has been plenty of errors. Until today, I can't find a solution. The app is not intuitive. and is not responsive. The techs and support try really hard, but the app is really bad. I don't understand how the app have 5 stars. The app is one of the worst apps that I've ever tried. The app should be taken down of the shopify store.

As you said that one day the app changed and everything what you have edited has gone, as usual although our app has released some updated versions recently, your setting in app will not be affected at all, it still keeps as it should be unless you change your theme. In case you did not change theme, we need to investigate further to find the root cause. Buggy! Translated only parts of the page. Screwed up the reviews from Judge.me altough they write that they integrate with Judge.me and now all my reviews are gone after I allowed them access to my site. Now I have to ask support from Judge me to rectify the problem and hope nothing worse then that.

Poorly developed app. The auto translator creates texts with no sense, so the contextual translation must be performed manually. Most texts are not divided in menus, or pages corresponding to the shop structure , the texts can be found under "Homepage". There is no easy way to find and replace texts, no visual identifier, no way to match. The texts repeat itself, so every word must be manually translated , without the option of bulk translation. There is content on the shop that is not identified in Transcy and cannot be translated. After weeks of work of manually translating the texts, we discovered that the app is not stable and the translations are not permanent. As soon as a minor change is operated in the shop, like adding a new content section, the translations are broken. Either they don't appear anymore , or the contextual translation is replaced by the poor autotranslator. I don't recommend this app, is causing only issues .

Original review: Strongly recommend this app. Automatic translations from English to German are very good over all. In the few cases where they are a bit off, it's easy to edit them manually. Also great customer support. Edit January 2023: I downgraded my initial review from 5 stars to 1 star. The recent update of this app is absolutely horrible. It made the app terribly uncomfortable to use, finding the respective website sections I want to translate now takes me HOURS. The content inside the sections takes forever to load. Instead of trying to sell me your partner apps about how to increase my website speed and whatnot why not get a decent structure for this app? The old structure was easy to navigate, now you spend hours finding the thing you want to translate. I will uninstall Transcy and find a different translation app.

UPDATE: According to the support the app doesn't support Shopify template pages, neither page template nor product templates. So for us it is not useful. This app is one of the worst I have come across on Shopify. Terribly buggy and slow. Support is overseas with very limited English proficiency. Unfortunately just a big waste of time and money.

Regarding to your issues as following: - Glad to inform that the content from page built by theme setting (online store 2.0) is now automatically synced to our app, you not only translate it but also edit it manually, please kindly check it again. - For the limit of English proficiency from my agent, I personally talked directly to them and have a proper training after that. Also please believe me that single conversation does not reflect the whole support and product quality we have built for years, and I highly appreciate your understanding in this situation. - About the loading speed, you please confirm our app is loading slowly on your front end (website) or back end (in-app). For making it clear, if it happened on frond end, the button to switch the language called switcher will show around 2 or 3 secondes after your website is fully loaded. If it happended on back end, it depends on how many pages as well as languages you're translating, it means the more pages or languages you have, the slow loading speed it should be. The app works quite well so far. The reason for the very bad rating, however, is that the Transcy team accessed our shop and changed our root domain on their own. This caused a lot of damage in both an SEO and sales context and in the following discussions there was no sign of goodwill. The support team also referred me to a member of staff who then sent me some tutorials that had absolutely nothing to do with our problem. All in all, a really terrible service experience.

Based on your case, when we have checked and seen that your page or domain kept reloading for so long with the URL has several /en and the cause of this issue might be some conflicts arisen between our code with other translation apps and then we just enabled English on your Domain setting to resolve this problem and no action further without your approval. This app functions fine for currency conversions. However, it is HORRIBLE for translations. It automatically translates your store language but the automatic langauge translation is horrible and not accurate. You need to edit the language manually and the manual editing function does not work. I opened a ticket for the manual editing function over a week ago. Three customer service reps have responded including Jessica, Andy, but no one being able to assist. The reps just kept asking for access to the store even if they already had been granted access. It went around in circles and they have still not been able to resolve and / or respond to my ticket. I would not recommend this app and then also if you are using the automatic language translations, I would be worried about the customer experience as the translation is so bad. So disapointed!

5-Star Reviews are Deceiving - Read the 1&2 Stars to make an informed decision I am not one to spend time reviewing apps, but this app with 4.7 average reviews at the time is extremely deceiving. The 5-star reviews are mostly from beginners who install it and thing it "looks good". If you actually speak the translated language and have 3rd party apps that need translation, you will be extremely frustrated at how hard it is to actually customize things. Once installed it messed up my Size selector, sizes, product titles, and other things. There is no way to customize many of the translations unless you contact support and they "fix it" DON't LET THEM! Why they do is they go and hardcode a bunch of lines that won't go away once you finally give up and remove the application. This app is a black-box auto translator and their staff is helpless. While their suppport staff seems friendly and will attempt helping you, the design of the app is so poor that their only way to help you would be to hardcode things that will eventually break your site. Product translation is awful. Most apps would get you a search bar and show a list of your products in which you can go and quicly modify titles. this app will you you products and you have to click each, open a new window, click edit, before you can edit one title. Then save, go back two levels above, and repeat your search. Extremely inefficient if you need to edit things. And unless you don't know the translated language, you know most likely any serious store will need to edit texts and more. Save yourself the headache. DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP.

The first issue is unable to edit content from third party apps. For making it clear, our app will detect the element built by third party apps and then translated them automatically. However because it's from third party apps, so it does not allow our app to edit its content. 2. Secondly, I have realized your page contains lots of elements coming from third party apps such as size variants they have some specific codes which are not compatible with our app. However, if this error is not out of our control, we're still able to fix it. 3. As you said that "Why they do is they go and hardcode a bunch of lines that won't go away once you finally give up and remove the application", you mean after you uninstall our app, some leftover code will show. If yes, as usual our app code will disappear and there will be no change from your site. Sometimes, there will have some lines of code leftover on your site for some reasons, but no worries much, we have published the article how to remove it completely on your store with some simple steps or if you cannot do it, please contact our support team to handle it for you. 4. As you mentioned that "Most apps would get you a search bar and show a list of your products in which you can go and quicly modify titles", our app still has the search bar to do it. However, your feedback about the process to edit in-app, I have noted this point and forward to concern team to improve it as soon as possible. I modify my review because a customer service employee invited me to comment when I had not yet tried the application. I needed to make some modifications in the switcher and the customer service was terrible, they tried to help me but they did not have enough knowledge to do it and while they were making changes the language selector looked terrible on my online website... I will have to look for other options

Tried to use this app, but unfortunately, this app created too many issues, and did not work in my case. 1. My search results became a a mess - all the titles multiplied 5 times 2. Getbutton icon that allows customers to communicate with us via WhatsApp became unusable and huge 3. Their support is there, but not really solving the issue, nor I can tell in confident they understood my problem. 4. After removal of the app, their code has been left in my template and still caused problems to my site appearance. I had to pay developers to find the problem and remove their code manually. It looks like big and complicated system and I would suggest to try this app on non-production site first, to avoid issues like mine.

In this update, they've found some small bugs unexpectedly that might affect to our functionalities or working process in few cases and we're noticed from Shopify system already. 2. We translated our entire webshop via Transcy (800 products) from Dutch to French. But now it appears that custum fields can't be translated by the app... so we're stuck because we use a lot of custom fields... We also get to see in a lot of places... so we have to take this out everywhere... e.g. in the search bar, check out screen, ... Really not recommended!
